She's like Elvis. Super famous. And Madonna is already a character she created. So a played character playing another does sound like.... u know. When you watch Elvis movie you spot that handsome guy but you only see Elvis. So it's same about her . That's all it is. One tv presenter in the uk said once M played already all her greatest and best parts, they all last 3min 50. He meant by this the music videos she made. Cos you need to be a f good actress to wow the world for so long in such a short time
She was great as Mae in League of Their Own though.
I was prepared to cringe at Madonna, but instead was really easantly surprised. She had me laughing. She is actually really good at comedy.

I completely agree! It's the material (no pun) she's been given... Who's that Girl was a comedy , but a dumb one... Had shed been given good comedy scripts, I bet she would have been good as a comedic actress , because I've heard more than a few times, that comedy is the hardest to do, more than drama, which has been a misconception that drama is harder. I love Madonna as a singer and dancer, she's an amazing performer and extremely artistic and business savvy. I don't know if this one role is enough to make such a bold statement as a testament to her overall talent as an actress, I was just impressed and wasn't expecting to be at all....

She's always been a better actress in the context of comedy.
She's def great at playing characters on TV. Her Coffee Talk skit on Saturday Night live is one of the best things shes done and shows how talented she can be. Plus its gay as hell and I love it. Mike Myers in drag, Madonna, Roseanne Barr and Barbra Streisand at the end!
