- Scanning for crappie at a comfortable depth is best for summertime. Water surface temps can reach 90° in Texas and the fish need cooler, oxygenated water. Typically 12 to 15 feet deep is a good place to start looking.! in the summertime they usually hold on structure. Jigs work good. I usually downsize to a 1/32 oz to compete with the fry hatch.

So that will be main lake, open water, 15 to 25’ deep. It’s pretty boring on camera. But I will try to make it interesting. 😊
Fishing structure without electronics; like bridges , trees. Plus how to you prepare fish tacos? And how to you fillet fisn? Is it possible to mark and find GPS coordinates using a cell phone?
Awesome vid. I can’t seem to find anything online that shows those fish habitat structures for Texoma. I can see other lakes but not that one. I’ll be there this weekend. Any tips for finding those structures online?
