He doesn’t know what he’s talking about, the line rides the edge of the 16th of an inch, so you have to go from edge to the same edge to get and exact 16th…
@@rainin4184 Damn bro we get it, you don’t have to say the exact same thing Under every comment
@@rainin4184 thats what i was thinking. Like yeah nothings going to be exactly perfect. But they are spaced out exactly the same each time so no, you are not "adding" the lines width. That makes no sense unless your brain crosses wires.
@@rainin4184 Even then, how exact are we talking? What temperature was the tape measure calibrated at? Because it will expand or contract slightly at different temperatures.
Sounds petty, but we once had someone bring a pen to physics class that had its length engraved on the side to something like 6 decimal places, and the teacher told us it was BS, and there was no way it could be that accurate unless you knew exactly what temperature that number was taken at.
@@roscoewhite6347 It depends on what type of measuring apparatus that you use. For example, thermometers that use mercury are more accurate than thermometers that use alcohol. You can get exact measurements if you control for all variables like temperature, but even under normal conditions you are deviating by an insignificant amount.
Basically, Neil is being pedantic because nearly all scientific experiments are done with measurements that are not exact, but are good enough. Also, he is flat out wrong because in fact there are devices that measure exactly.
I’ll be using the “It can never be exact” line for years to come 😉
Bro is explaining 10th grade physics bro im crying😭
When you think you're smart, the result is Neil.
He IS smart, he's just a narcissistic asshole on top of that
When you think you smart but don't know how to do fractions 😅😂
Is that your final answer?
No no no, When you think you’re smart you act and sound like Neil. When you’re really smart, you act and sound like Brian Cox

Neil is the type of guy to remind the teacher when they forget the homework
The only thing I know for sure is that he did his homework 😅
Neil: how tall are you?
Joe: i don't know, Jamie pull up that bear video where it took DMT.
Because everyone would love to hear and use precise heights.
"Are those pant legs 39.1432685975 inches long? Only 39.144, you say? Pass. Too long."
No way your going to measure up to a nanometer 😂
Neil accidentally found every short guys worst fear 😂
