Vomero 18 could be the Western States winning shoe for sure. Throwback to the old Ann Trason Nike Skylons. Thanks for all the hard work and reporting, Brett! Us shoe geeks appreciate it!
Just got done watching all your 2025 initial reviews. Thanks dude!!! Pumped to see the in depth ones next year. Loved seeing your excitement with the 18 😁
Ok, I actually love the "road shoe as a better light trail shoe than a trail shoe" discussion. I'm heading towards using super trainers for more and more of my daily runs. I've heard you mention using the Endorphin Speed series on lighter trails--are there any others in this category that you think might work? I'm particularly eyeing the Zoom Fly 6 with its waffle sole. Currently using Zegama 2 and Adidas ASU for "real trails". Thanks for the awesome TRE coverage!
I ended up using the adizero adios 6 on the trails a fair bit as it gripped well on rock and was fun and light, no good in the mud but apart from that lasted well and perfect for the job
The new Wildhorse looks alot better this year. Maybe because it looks a bit like the Zegama, though likely on the firmer side. Interesting that there isnt a new Zegama or Ultrafly. Im happy to keep buying Zegama 2s on sale though haha.
The volmero is heavy even by trail standards- its gone up 53g from the last, hence the price drop. Surely some from the puma running range with the puma grip work better for door to light trail.
It didn't feel that heavy in hand, but I also can't recall what size I was holding. I agree though, Puma grip is an awesome compound that works great on light trails
@@ConversationalPace It's tough to imagine that you guys (reviewers) who hold a lot of shoes don't instantly know the weight...maybe they make a full zoom x one for the show and then the customers get the one with mainly react x:-)
When I got home that thought hit me as well that the WH that I previously ran in was the 8. I'm wondering if they skipped it and just went for the 10 because of the 10th anniversary of the launch of this Nike Trail line

Thanks for watching! Seriously though, once you get out of the high country, this might be the shoe!

Thanks for watching! I'm pumped for this new Vomero!
Saw the pictures online of the kiger 10 looks fantastic!
Vomero 18 looks like a Javelina shoe for sure, and Kiger sounds like a sky runner.
100%
The Vomero looks awesome. Outsole reminds me a bit of the way the Novablast 4 has that door to trail outsole, gonna absolutely rip on fire roads.
💯 💯
That Vomero 18 looks and sounds amazing! Am very curious about that Wildhorse too.
I seriously think you are the only person who covered Nike
I couldn't go to TRE and not swing by the Nike booth!
Ye it's weird now that you mention it. Almost like they are shadow-banned or sth.
thanks for all the vids and updates.
Hope you enjoy them! Any favorites so far?
@ 005 and maybe the Cascadia 19 👀
thought we may get a zegama 3 or ultrafly 2 .., oh well
Yeah not this year 😔

I've worn the Hoka Clifton on a ton of trail miles. Saucony endorphin speed as well! Stoked to try that vomero out
I used to race short distance trail in the late 20’s Pegasus. They had as good or better grip than the road to trail version today.
I only use trail shoes if it's both wet and muddy (or there's snow). Otherwise it's road shoes for any forrest or gravel.
@@jasonbaker6842 Something about the old super hard carbon rubber that was full of chemicals that just hit a little different 🤣 🤣

Yeah I didn't hear anything regarding ultrafly 2 or Zegama 3
Both the new wildhorse and kiger sound really good. Hope you'll review them both ❤.
Planning on it!
No Ultrafly 2? BTW, love these short and sweet videos focused on each manufacturer from TRE 🙏
No Ultrafly 2 unfortunately. Glad you're enjoying the brand focused videos!
Ultra fly 2 coming fall 25
I was here thinking the same thing the Vomero 18 looks real promising
So stoked to try it out! It was incredibly comfortable when I tried it on at their booth
Any idea what the drop on the Kiger? 4mm?
I believe it will still be 4mm
@ Thanks!

I need a rock plate and a rocker
Wildhorse and Zegama will be the best Nike options for that 👍
Vomero looks like it’s a hybrid now for sure! How is toebox of the Wildhorse?
I didn't get to try the wildhorse on, but it looked pretty accommodating! More so than Zegama 2
Is the Wildhorse 10 meant to fully replace Pegasus Trail? Looks like Pegasus, serves the same purpose and it is in the same price bracket.
Saucony 2025 trail?
No WIldhorse 9?

@@ConversationalPace Yeah, weird. But good news cause the WH8 is super comfortable. Let's hope the 10 is the same qua comfort but a bit more faster.
Any Zegama updates? Curious since everything with Nike seems Vomero 18 at TRE
Didn't hear anything about a new Zegama. Makes me think it is going to be a 2026 release
Vomero 17 was THE BEST road to trail shoe I have ever used
Hopefully Vomero 18 continues with that lineage!
I was hoping for Ultrafly 2 that’s lighter with better heel lockdown
I would love that too!
Vomero 18 looks sick. Love the 17’s but could do with a lil more chonk.
Will there still be a Pegasus trail for next year? That new wild horse looks like it might fill the Pegasus space
Didn't sound like there was going to be an update to the Pegasus Trail
No Zegama 3 for 2025? Thanks for the update!
I didn't hear anything about a Zegama update, so that leads me to think that Zegama 2 will stay for 2025.
Am I going crazy or did they skip the wildhorse 9?
I think they did 🤣 I think it's to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the Kiger and Wildhorse releasing
Which shoe is courtney going to use when she moves to Nike?
haha I would have said something like Wildhorse, but since she just re-signed with Salomon, I guess she gets the Genesis for the next 5 years 😅
VO’s are 36 in the FF?!?!?! 😮 I’d need training wheels on it so I wouldn’t tip over on a turn 🤣. How stable did it feel?
I only jogged a few feet in a straight line, but it actually didn't feel wobbly at all with the React X sandwich of foam
Just go with vibram with all your trail shoes nike 😩
It would definitely be a nice solution, but that would also mean a price increase on all those models as well
Wildhorse looks very pegasusy
It will be interesting to compare the two side by side
Has early version Pegasus vibes, and that toe bumper is straight off it
