THANK YOU, Max!!!! That defensive talk about Bana irks me to no end. That's how you know you're talking to folks who don't actually watch much basketball. Oats has proven to be a guy who preaches defense. They literally were maybe the best defensive team in the country, not only last year but in 21 with Herb Jones and that crew.

@@wesleyhicks9414 well, yeah man, they were. The 2021 and 2023 teams were top 3 in almost every defensive category.
This is getting out of hand. I’m 110% for players getting compensated I think they absolutely deserve that. Paying recruits insane amounts before they step on campus isn’t right. Now the conversation of having an open transfer portal in season and having players transfer during the season is insane.
Well said about oats and defense. Everyone got gaslit this year but I expect a much better defensive product. Bama’s league for now until proven otherwise
They played pretty good D when it mattered even in mismatched rosters. Not gonna be many matchup problems next year. This come down to development and coaching. Hubert couldn't give him what Oats could.

Again I doubt UNC offered him 2m. Bama beat UNC not based off of coaching we mostly lost that game because of missed shots.. Cliff will get more time at center at bama than UNC.. He also would have to split time with Jalen Washington. He would get more time at bama than UNC.

Alabama doesn't care about basketball. It's always been a football school, and it always will be. Oats could win back-to-back natty's, and most Bama fans would cheer and be happy, and then they would ask "When does football spring training start?" and the basketball team would be quickly forgotten. If Oats wants to win a natty where it will be appreciated, he's going to have to go somewhere else.
Whatever it takes, get Oats OUT of Tuscaloosa! He's from Wisconsin, maybe the Badgers head coach, Greg Gard, will be fired after next season and Oats will go home!

Ignorance knows no bounds . You probably Have never stepped foot in Coleman when bama has had very good and great teams. There's a shitload of people at Bama that care about basketball and always have. If the product is great bama fans will support it no matter the sport
