      As the volume of liquid inside the tube is constant when it goes up in one arm then it should go down in the other arm
      .

    Sir, why do the two diameters are different in quinckes tube??

      Actually bigger diameter tube helps to pour the liquid ....for experiment we need narrow tube otherwise h won't be sufficient

    Why sir we use paramagnetic material can we use ferromagnetic material

      As the ferromagnetic substance posses magnetism even in the absence of External magnetic field unlike paramagnetic substances......it is not suitable for this method.
