If you're a fan of SNES beat 'em ups, this is a pretty decent adaptation of the goofy Irem arcade game, and it even got an official English translation... 25 years after its original Japanese release.
This is an okay-ish port of the arcade game, but there's a pretty good chance that ININ/Strictly Limited Games will be bringing the arcade version along with a ton of other IREM arcade games to modern consoles with their recently announced Irem Collection series.
I love this game because playing as Rosa lets me pretend she's Princess Asrial from Ninja High School (look it up) as she rips out steel beams with her bare hands. With a little imagination the first boss becomes the Hokuto no Kenterminator, too.
Okay that first boss fight was unexpected and cool. This game actually feels more like an answer to _Streets of Rage_ than _Final Fight_ IMO (well, the sequels, anyway). And how awesome that it got an official English release 25 years later, hahaha! 😄This has truly been the era of finally getting games from Japan, hasn't it?
Undercover Cops is more similar to Jaleco's Brawl Brothers & The Peace Keepers (two games in Jaleco's Rushing Beat Trilogy) than Streets of Rage imo. This Super Famicom port is decent and I would've loved to have played it on my SNES back in the day, but obviously the arcade version is far better. The graphics are way better, no annoying slowdown and less jank lol
This game makes me crack up in so many ways! XD ...the "rap sheet" results screen at the end especially is a hoot. Also, props for making a playthrough with a character that ISNT ROSA! Seriously, the other two characters are almost never used in playthoughs on YT!
Got this game a little while ago on IREM arcade collection, I didn't know that there was an SNES version. Looks like a pretty decent port. This game rocks, it has great music, cool graphics, and absurd beat 'em up scenarios, what more could you ask for??
The way things are going, we may not make it to 10 years in the future, let alone 21! More jokingly, I would LOVE to see 2035 at least, referencing Soma Cruz discovering the Tsuchinoko and apparently Dracula's castle appearing in a solar eclipse in _Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow_ . 😋
@@LPetal86 😆I forgot AoS/DoS took place in the "future"...man I hope Konami releases the DS ones in a collection. Too much trouble to find my copy of those.
This game has score penalty if you indirect kill enemies by throwing weapons or knock off to the pit you lost your kill counts and your kill counts was use to fill your stage score
I never got the title for this one. They didn't seem to be doing much undercover work. Unless their cover identities were 'The three people who beat the shit out of every criminal in the city' in which case they're very convincing in that role.
Good work on clearing UC cops! I've got some mixed feelings with the port really. Mainly for its difficulty and stuff controls, nonetheless it's still a great title from metal slug team. Though you should've gone with Rosa for the best ending, though I still got respect that you did the game with Zan!

Imagine if being an undercover cop was this exciting. Best job ever.
Making creepy fat women cry and dodging armored grenade rats lol. I dunno if I could handle it, personally.
I wonder where the "undercover" part ever actually came in, personally... :P

Well, to be fair, 'British Babe Butt Bop' does make for good TV... :P

This feels like city of Detroit
From the creators of Metal Slug
How did you uploaded this video without copyright problems about the boss theme?
32:44
I didn't know you could do that lmao
Briga de rua do metal slug
I am bad in SNES version. Only can play in Arcade
If this game is on Sega it probably looks better. I would stick to Final Fight as the best beat em up game
Streets of rage for me
Whys it tell me their blood type lol
