As curious facts: the concept of this album is the shadows and the light, I guess that's why the aesthetics of the video is like that. For some years, Super Junior, is responsible for almost completely designing the concept (dance, aesthetics, music, etc). Shindong was the director and editor of the video. Super Junior is a masterpiece. PS: I sorry for my english, but I am Spanish-speaking.
@@dreamy_mary Hi!
When a 2nd generation group has more frequently comebacks than a 5th generation group to rob your money. I genuinely say welcome and laugh out in pain😜
@@ryomandu So Little Mix was the new challenger to cover that song 😂. I didnt know about that news. I searched it just now and i found it. Its cool, i cant wait for that performance 🥳.
Some helpful info for you!: this is the title track for their repackage album. So it's their last album with four new songs added. The 2s in the title are pronounced like "ee" so they're saying "ee-ya-ee-ya-oh". And Super Junior has done a few dark concepts before. Their fifth album had a b-side that was released as a single in Japan called "Opera" (aesthetically probably my favorite era of theirs), and Super Junior-M released "Perfection" back in 2011. But the last dark concept promo track in Korea was Don't Don era all the way back in *2007*!
Zico wrote it specifically for SuJu as well as produced it. The behind the scenes of their recording session is not only hillarious but Zico talks about it. Their age range is 31-38.
Just an additional fun info, if you don't know the members yet.. The one directing n editing this MV is shindong, the used-to-be chubby, big build guy. In this vid he's the one wearing a leopard/cheetah print inside his jacket you point out. He already directed several MVs actually, including Heechul's single sweet dream n old movie. Shindong was responsible for all the videos in their SS8 concert tour
This album is a repackage of the 9th album “Time Slip”. This is actually the 3rd in a trilogy. The first being “Time slip”, the second is the special version “Timeline” and this one being “Timeless”. In terms of pronouncing the title they are pronouncing the 2 in korean so you say the title as if you were singing old mcdonald lol
That is their first hip hop track, not really a genre they do but you are correct, they are versatile so they tackle any genre as a challenge and put their trademark color to it.
Super Junior is a group that can give you pop, hip hop, Latin music, ballad and everything makes it so proud of them. They are always innovating in new musical styles but in their style. We are going for 15 years this year and they come with a big surprise at hand so let's anticipate their work and their talent a lot 💙.
If you want to react to some old super junior mv's, there's "Don't Don" released in 2007... And there's so many mv's of SuJu, like Bonamana, No Other, Mamacita, Black Suit, SPY.. Oh, and One More Chance if you want to react for a ballad song from them.. it's really nice..
2YA2YAO, ii-ya-ii-ya-o.. yes like old mcdonalds. the 2 is pronounced as "ii" in sino-korean:) the meaning honestly no clue, I'm hoping to watch their live stage in a bit, maybe they'll elaborate on it? And honest recs for me, I love their funky side more, I'd recommend "Black Suit" "Magic" and "Devil" as fun tracks, the MVs really compliment that as well:)
Why is my bias back in the bucket hats? Science still cannot answer. Since I'm guessing that you've done the more recent stuff, try Bonamana from the 4th album for that hard ass beat (and Heechul dancing) my personal favorite song of their is It's You from the 3rd album repack.
I love how you reacted to those little things in the video. I'm amazed how you put your attention to those things that not all of us can notice without someone pointed it out or after we watched it so many times. Thank you so much. I appreciate it really.
If you're raving over the edits in the video you have to thank Shindong because he directed and edited the video. He has done that with a lot of SJ's MVs.
This visual effect you keep talking abt can generally be called Digital Glitch. SM used this in NCTs Superhuman, EXOs Tempo and Obsession, some of RV vids and maybe somewhere else, but it’s quite trendy lately in overall MV production. Also this song has the same little sample NCT had in Cherry Bomb - “and now the breakdown”....just random thing lol
Super Junior's last album was named Time Slip, which the Korean version of "I Think I" is on. "2Ya2Yao" is a track off of their repackaged album called Timeless. So Timeless has all the same tracks as Time Slip, plus, 4 new songs. There are official MV lyric videos that SuJu produced for those other new songs as well. Check out SM's channel and Super Junior's official Label SJ channel to see the other songs and videos from this album. Plus, if you want to see Zico and SJ in the recording studio recording this song, there are teaser clip videos, too. They really haven't just dropped this out of nowhere. You just must not have been following Super Junior, because they have been teasing to all this content for the last 2 weeks or so. Both their Japanese track and this new repackaged album. :D You're right, SJ might be in their early to mid-30s now, but they all still act like teenage boys. They are one of the most fun and crazy groups around which will forever keep them young.
Just gotta drop this here but originally, SUPER JUNIOR had an Edgy and more Strong concepts for their Title Tracks (twins, don’t don, sorry sorry, bonamana). So 2YA2YAO is just like them going back to their original Edgy concept.
it's black and white, hard and fun time, they r talking about how great they are even tho they had shit tons to get over, u can see how heecheul is there but we don't hear him nor see him dance(he's showing us how hard it's getting for him), every one of them has his own place, yesung is picking the balls (musical choices), fans know that he's a master when it comes to music, he's the main voice and only in this year that his KRY teammate that r showing rivalry to his skills this is why he only want the best ball, and so on and on to each one of them telling pieces of a story that makes a whole... they do it so well that u see at the end that the places lighting changes , fire is throwing and all showing us how strong they r as individuals in the face of hardship and how they want to have fun with fans, yet u see heecheul's place as it was in the start... basically this is just sj showing off >

your english is great and so are you
Now that they have Label SJ as their independent label, I’m glad that Super Junior have the freedom to do any concept~~

It's no wonder why Super Junior makes so much money for SM lool
5th gen? I thought we were just heading into 4th gen!
FYI, we're in the 4th generation until 2025(7 years period) not the 5th generation.

well Ben, 2 in Korean pronounced as "ee"
so basically the title is 2YA2YAO = ee-ya-ee-ya-o :)))
Ohhhh thank you for explaining! 👍😊
And in Japanese is ni
Ni-ya-ni-ya-o
Well I'm also pronounce it like that. Cause I thought they said in the chorus "Hey yeah, hey yeah yo" 😅😁
Wait I'm confused, 2 in Korean is dul
@@dannyphantommm It has 2 ways of saying numbers in Korean

This is like a mockery to those who said they’re old (yes, like old McDonald) for this career. So, yeah, ee-ya-ee-ya-o is SJ’s best way to mock them.
