This was soooooooo powerful. After a bad divorce and being separated from my kids for many years I was asked the following question. "Why aren't you fighting for your kids like you did at the beginning?" This message summed up exactly why I am doing things in a different fashion. God calls us out of yesterday so we can ask Him what do I do next? Unless we trust God's order in the hard times and press in to His promise, we cannot experience His leading as we show Him we want control. It has taken me many years to hear God tell me which way to go and more importantly to fully trust Him in the middle of the circumstances. God speaks, He leads but it requires us to be still, submit our ways and trust His lead. Unless we submit to Him first we cannot obtain the direction. Thanks Pastor Steven for this reminder of God's goodness.

Watching this sermon today helped because I’ve been trying to jump out of fear that my job will be closed again because of the pandemic. I’ve been thinking about getting into another career. My job is harder, people are different, and I worry that it can all go away again if we have a spike in Covid-19 cases in Ohio again. However things were covered while I was off. God did provide. While I was off I was able to trust and yet being back at work I have worried it will all go away again. I have seen my clients be so different. So full of worry and I have worried with them not rested in him. I wanted to run into a new career instead of resting in the steps he ordered. The ones I have heard for so long. My connection with my clients has shifted but that doesn’t mean I should run. I will wait on the Lord and his timing. Being faithful unto what I have heard before about my career and my next step not create my own plan. Thank you so much for this sermon and your ministry. He spoke to me through you.

Wow what a revelation. God can even order my steps when I am down and out with this illness that I have. God was wanting me to get my butt out of my chair and to get out there and preach. But like Jonah I needed to spend some time in the whale's belly to get what God was telling me.
I have to share this.. I listened to this on the way home Monday afternoon, shouting in my head - My steps are ordered! That stuck with me, so clearly to lean on Him, always. And I was having a tough day and coming off a tough week, spiritually. Then I wake up Tuesday AM, check the Bible app for the verse of the day and what is it?! Proverbs 10:9...
