You blew my mind with a simple aside, "...the items are first grouped to stacks by the slab on ice" my confusion around item grouping in water streams has been solved! I tried with ice before the slab to accelerate the items, though never under the slab. Once again I walk away from another of your videos have learned something useful.
I've never seen that sugarcane/bamboo/melon farm design, it's awesome! Even ilmango's super old videos are still great. Let's hope he comes back to make more videos in the future.
I'm kinda disappointed you've used chunkbase the find the stronghold rather than searching for it yourself as the game intends it. Same for the end city - when using a flying machine anyways.
The focus of this series is to show introductory farms, not to show me searching for structures. I'm not trying to set world records here :) But I am transparent about where I take these shortcuts.
@@FrunoCraft With the argument of this being the focus setting a time limit of 24 hours to see what one can achieve on a new map doesn't make much sense anymore though since "cheating" alters that possibly by a lot. But yes, I do appreciate the transparency.

how many items do you put in the hopper clock around back?
I'd go for perhaps 2 stacks, to have a ~2 minute clock. But rates shouldn't change much if you use anything between 1 and 3 stacks.
@@FrunoCraftis there a function for the hopper clock timer?
@@ratman0813 Sure, the time is roughly 0.8 seconds for each items in there. So 100 items will give you ~80 seconds.
