What is OSTEOPOROSIS? | Bone Disorder | Fractures

Osteoporosis…Osteo is a word that refers to Bones.
The term "porosis" means porous, which can mean “having pores”
So OSTEOPOROSIS can be defined as having Pores in the Bones. Normal bone does have small pores, or holes within its structure, however Osteoporotic bone has much larger pores or holes.
In this video I describe what Osteoporosis is, how it happens, the treatment, and those who are more at risk for developing Osteoporosis in their lifetimes!
