I agree. Strings was a better fit for The Hellacopters. I say that without bashing Dregen. I just think Strings suited them better. Just like Dregen belongs in Backyard Babies and I can't see how anyone would take his place in that band.
Saw them at the Masquerade in Atlanta in 2006 w/Nebula opening. One of my favorite shows! The guys signed a drum head and Nicke drew a cool monster on it. I have some awesome pix and memories.
Playing these festival gigs can be a double edged sword. It puts you in front of more people than normal but they may have already seen a dozen bands that day, they might not give two shits that you're up there, or they could be waiting for the headliner. They rocked it though.

@@mlwsf Maybe it´s not allowd to sell alcohol on german festivals?:-) That´s why the audience are so stiff. I have watched several concerts from Rock am Ring and Rockpalast and it´s very clear-the audience seems to be there by mistake. But of course it´´s not any proof they do not like what they are watching.

Re I’m from Sweden and swedish people are well known to not showing emotions but for rock n roll a big exception.
