I watched this years ago, but it's still one of my favourite fanvids for this show. There's something so very soft about the combination of this song and all those moments of them reaching for each other and holding hands, and I love it. The moment about 'my only weakness is knowing your secrets and holding them close and holding them tight' has been stuck in my mind for years. I can’t believe how few comments this show gets. They need to release it. Btw these moments between Philip and Elizabeth, when he sees she’s been hurt, are sweet but she never needed someone to protect, or avenge her. Quite the opposite. Lol.

You called it correctly. Their real wedding (where they didn't wear disguises) is why the priest was able to identify them as spies. Such a bittersweet ending to that series.
They were 2 Soviet agents who didn't know each other and were put together by the KGB. Being married was part of their cover. As time goes on, they fall in love. Still, even they question their relationship. Are they really married or just 2 spies? That complexity is a big part of the show.
