What’s cool is that if you just watched MD, you wouldn’t even realize that at its core it’s just a modular environment from unity. The editing is just that cohesive and good.
Personally, it was going from episode 7 back to the pilot that really blew my mind. The quality difference is astounding, and I'm so happy they didn't rush this new episode, but took their time in polishing the scenes and animation. It makes a massive difference, and there's something about seeing the show sort of come into its own; pilot being obviously testing the waters of story and pushing the boundaries of what they can animate, and by episode 7 it really becomes a defined show that knows what it's on about, flexing their fight scenes and subtle background actions that just makes me fall for this show more with every new episode.
The pilot is always the lowest on budget. Luckily it still went well enough for Glitch to make 6 more episodes with notably higher quality! 7 was very good in terms of animation. Of course animation will likely be more expensive than basically everything else an indie studio has to consider. Their advertisement is practically free via social media. Writing only needs 1 person at the minimum, and that person mainly needs to be dedicated to the show to write something good. Animation needs a team, with time, which costs a lot of money. It's amazing how well they did it- it clearly paid off taking time to polish it. Honestly, I feel like MD could've gone up in flames if they delayed ep 7 even more and it didn't come out polished.

If you need more, I'll look some up.
interesting, I havent thought about Code Lyoko in a while, I never saw the whole show myself. We mostly do things that are topical for the algorithms sake, but we are hoping to try and get people interested in some more niche stuff like that.
@@CartoonUniverse It really deserves more attention. Thanks for responding and I hope you can get to it in the future!
I had an idea
Why not have all the versions of yourself talk about each show they are themed on
Like android cut with murder drones and when you start talking about hazbin and helluva impcut comes in to talk about that
Just an idea
Would like the interaction between each version of yourself from each time you change the subject a new version of you intrupts the you that was talking at the time XD
Can someone help me figure out where to find programs like this 1:48
Honestly, I made my show with no money. 😂
99% certain they use Blender

Anyway Most People Dont Even Care About It Because The Story Is What Matters Here
it seems like most people do care, because caring about production doesn't make the story not matter.
You're totally wrong. We do care and need to care because without being able to produce shows we won't be able to tell those stories.
I mean what would you prefer? Reading a book with good story telling? or watching good animation With also good story telling? pick one

You talk about "exploiting their own limitations" and bring examples, but never mention Epithet Erased as an example? Why?
I've only seen like half an episode of epithet erased.
@@CartoonUniverse then you are half the way to understand the depth of your errors. Maybe a quarter of the way for the more hard to convince.
error?
@@CartoonUniverse I was just being melodramatic. I meant the error of not mentioning Epithet Erased. (I'm just trying to make more people aware of this little hidden gem of a show. The characters are so deeply multifaceted and bounce off each other in such interesting ways. It deserves more fame.)
I was going to make a video last year but I had heard that the series was finished because they couldnt raise the money for the next arc.
