What's your favorite bat-gadget from the 1966 Batman show?
visual.ly/community/infographic/entertainment/batman-1966-gadget-armory
Adam Savage’s Tested the belt.
Has to be the anti-shark bat spray. Not very original of me, I know, but c'mon. :)
Adam you should go onto Joe Rogans podcast. JRE
Shark repellant
"They're not all incredibly expensive." ...$4000 for a small pill box? Wow. I got to get an archivist's salary if that's not expensive to him at all.
That's some impressive collection..
Too bad it will be scattered around now.
2:47
Guy: "Original mold from the 60's"
Norm: "Wooooow"
Is this the end of western civilization?
All I could think at that point was that Steve1989MREInfo would have tasted one.. "60's mold, I know its bad but let's face it I've had worse and opportunities like this don't come often"
@@Valrek No 'nice hiss' when he opened it though 😁
Let's get it out onto the...bat tray.
Steve19189..."Lets try one of these antidote pills Uhh....the taste makes me wheeze...these are horrible...let me try another one in case this one is different....why do i keep going back for more? Oh...hmm...they have a nice fruity yet savory undertone...they would go hand in hand with some bat shark repellent"
Growing up my Grandpa, my Dad's father, loved Frank Gorshin who played The Riddler on the television series of Batman. My father is a decently well known camera man within his community [working for HBO, History Channel, Discovery, Showtime, working the Oscars, Golden Globes, etc..] and, once upon a time, an amateur writer and director. When my Grandpa passed away my Dad wrote a short script about their relationship and got Frank Gorshin to play my Grandpa's character in the film. It never went anywhere, it was more about what was never said between them, and in the end, honoring my Grandpa. Unfortunately Frank passed away soon after filming wrapped but it was an amazing moment for my Dad and his relationship with his father.
For me, when I met Frank, I actually had no idea who he was but I instantly liked the man b/c he reminded me of my Grandpa. It was at the end of the first day my Dad told me the rest and I swear my Pops was smiling on us all. :)
"They're not all incredible expensive."
5,000 for some moldy sweet tarts. LMAO.
Wow this auction is going to be packed. Those are some very cool pieces of TV history. The Batman mother load of memorabilia.
I was 99% sure the guest was a mannequin for the first few seconds
RIP
Thunderbird puppet.
I was actually searching the internet just the other day to find out what happened the screen used props & costumes from this series. Pretty awesome to see them still in great condition!
4000$ for the little pills thing? What the f....
James Comisar owns Johnny Carson's Tonight Show set, the All in the Family living room, and the Cheers Bar.
Too many Questions on how they got the Riddlers coat.
lasarith2 ahhhhhhhh
6:32 woah look, it's
🎶PEPSI MAN!🎶
the theme song will now be in your head all day. you're welcome.
Pepsi for TV game!
French toast
stale raisin bread + eggs + bit of cream + dash of all spice.
Stale bread soaks up all the hearty goodness
$400,000 to $600,000 for the Batshield!?! Holy bankruptcy!”
OMG I heard before on the podcast about the catalogs but wow the detail and production is incredible!
Frank gorshins fab ! You can feel a true celebrity spirit right there
These are my favorite videos on Tested right next to Adam's builds. Screen matching props and "film archaeology" fascinates me. I'd love to see Brandon in the studio more often.
Can't think of anything to comment so I'm just going to post a pancake recipe.
1 1/2 cups milk
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups White Wings self-raising flour
1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1/3 cup caster sugar
25g butter, melted
Whisk milk, egg and vanilla together in a jug. Sift flour and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl. Stir in sugar. Make a well in centre. Add milk mixture. Whisk until just combined.
Step 2
Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Brush pan with butter. Using 1/4 cup mixture per pancake, cook 2 pancakes for 3 to 4 minutes or until bubbles appear on surface. Turn and cook for 3 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Cover loosely with foil to keep warm. Repeat with remaining mixture, brushing pan with butter between batches. Serve.
Just used this recipe- it was delicious!
Oh, hello 2010.
I got a great double choc chip cookie recipe from a street racing comment section. Lol.
And a decent cake recipe from a conspiracy theory comment section.
Gonna try it out. Thanks!
Sugar??? Type 2 pancake
Have you been outside ever? There’s a lot of stuff out there.
I always think there's a chance they just make these props themselves and weather and age them to seal the deal.. obviously that is more difficult than it sounds! but you never know!
Robbie - Anything for money. Sad but true.
Frank Gorshin was easily the most famous face hired at the start of Batman. He was already a well known entertainer seen almost weekly on variety shows like Ed Sullivan doing classic impressions of actors from Hollywood's golden years like John Wayne, Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas. Gorshin reportedly wanted the job because he was a lifelong fan of the comic book. The rest of season one's "special guest villains" were "B" list (or even "C" list) stars or old Hollywood actors in semi-retirement.
RMoribayashi Sure...if you’re replacing “famous” with “most seen on TV recently”. Otherwise, no not even close. Gorshin was a nightclub performer who never had a hit show other than Batman, no movies of much note, and who disappeared after Batman into obscurity. Both Cesar Romero and Burgess Meredith were in movies and television for 60 years each and performed in things well before and after Batman. Meredith’s long and famous career led up to TWO EMMYS and TWO OSCAR NOMINATIONS after Batman FFS. (And yes loads of stuff before Batman including probably the most well known episode of Twilight Zone (Serling’s favorite also btw). Your theory is like saying Orson Welles wasn’t on TV as much at the time so Gorshin was “more famous”. Ridiculous.
@@DoctorShocktor I mean famous just like it's used today. Cesar Romero's last movie role had been a small part in 1960's Ocean's 11. He had definitely fallen down to or even off the "B" list, staying in the public consciousness with occasional guest roles on TV dramas. Meredith was doing steady work on TV, including occasional talk shows and panel shows. He did about as many guest appearances as Gorshin but Frank appeared in both comic and dramatic roles as well as regularly appearing on talk shows and variety shows with his comedy/impressionist routine. Meredith had gotten just a handful of few good movie roles after his breakout turn as George in 1939's Of Mice and Men, probably due to being upstaged by Lon Cheney Jr's incredible take on Lenny. By 1966 it was his voice that would probably have been recognisable to most viewers due to the many TV programs he narrated. By '66 Gorshin was riding a peak and would probably gotten some kind of major break if not for Batman. By the 1970's his type of impressionism was on the wane and as it hasn't aged well over the years we don't remember him as fondly as many of the other Batman villains but at the start, if there was one of them who could have been considered too good for the goofy costumes and slapstick of Batman, it was Frank.
Would've loved to see all these treasures in one collection. I'm downloading that auction book lol
The "pills" were Rockets, not Sweet Tarts. Rockets are concave, Sweet Tars are convex.
400k-600k for the bat shield is the estimate?! That seems crazy high for something that was barely used in the show and can hardly be seen as iconic.
THANK Y?OU FOR MAKING THIS!!!! IM SMILING FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MONTHS!
That catalogue is my favourite prop from this show
Even thought I am no way a fan of those things, just hearing them talk about it is insanely fascinating.
I would love to own Bookworm's outfit.
This is my favorite tv show
R.I.P Adam West
That's a bit expensive for moldy candy. I WANT SOMEONE TO EAT ONE! : D
Awesome video
Really nice.
Anyone notice Brandon has a Dick Gautier vibe? (Fellow who played Hymie from Get Smart--?)
Will Ferrel's son
I’d like to pet Norm’s head.
Norm and a waxwork model.
That hair though. Can I just get a photo book of that?
Im curious did Jim Carey where this same Riddler jacket in Batman Forever? it looks similar and that would have been a great nod to the TV show.
Holy props batman
If I were them I would be trying to see if the bolts/screws on the shield lined up on each season
NOOO, THIS BELONGS IN A MUSEUM!
12 minute video with about 30 seconds of actual content.
I see these auctions coming up all the time in the US... how can I get a copy of the auction guide in the UK?
God I want the riddlers suit
Who the fuck wants moldy Sweet tarts!?!? Yeah I want to have mold in my collection let me put it in a enclosed space. Some crazy ppl will buy anything these days.

Nice items, but the auction prices are crazy.

Do you guys still do mythbusters?
Wow that’s amazing
That man is the son of Nikolas Shrek
Neat, I could not afford this. But pretty cool stuff.
Please upload captions if you disable auto-generated captions. This is weird, Tested. Chronic disrespect for accessibility shortcuts is a very confusing PR move
our apologies, the language settings for our auto-generated captions were reset. they should be enabled now!
Adam Savage’s Tested ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
in moment when that man put his gloves on, he turned in another animal.
$4k-$6k for moldy pills? Jesus man. What a huge waste of money and potential health hazard.
Feel like I’m watching QVC half the time on here. It’s getting very old.
I would *love* to pick up that riddler suit ;-;

No matter how batman is changed it must stick to that 30s gangster culture when their were crime lords and Bob Kane took what was real and created the vigilante batman
There's no way I could ever afford any of the items, but can you buy the catalog?
Yes, and I think it’s even downloadable!
46 secs : Der Kommissar?
