Hi! :) I think that people might be a bit jealous of your job Tom, so that's why they might say it not really a "job". But being an author is a job thats been around since the beginning of time and more recently authors have tours where they meet people and sign books and I think thats generally respected as being something that requires time and effort and is energy consuming. That Paul McCartney story is lovely. I don't really have anything comparable, but the closest thing is when I met Carrie. She really did seem to be one of the loveliest people you could hope to meet. Obviously, she had good and bad days and I've no idea how she stays sane with her schedule, but the fact that she always tries to present as the best version of herself she can be is inspiring.
The Madhouse I've met her twice and she was just wonderful both times! The first time was at a signing with 300 people so it was kinda rushed but still lovely. the second time was as stage door and she spent a fair amount of time chatting to me. 😊
The Madhouse I met Carrie once in Northampton in September and it took me six days to meet her , when i did meet her I couldn't speak properly as had to run around a corner to get to her as she came out the stage door , I had written a letter for Tom and asked her to give it to him and she said twice that she would , considering she was in a rush she stayed to meet fans and she was absolutely lovely , it made me so happy !!!
I've met Tom three times now and he was extremely lovely in all of them. Always comments about something and make you appreciate the little time you had with him :)

I was at your signing yesterday (the girl who gave you the Star Wars ornament) and I just wanted to say thank you for being so kind and considerate. I queued for 4 hours, and at a few points during that I was close to an anxiety attack. It meant so much to me that you were so kind. even though you were probably exhausted. Without you, I probably wouldn't have even been alive to consider being at a signing in the first place. Your videos and your attitude towards life really motivate me to keep pushing forward and without them I don't know where I'd be. My anxiety was so bad yesterday that I nearly had to lock myself in my room once I got home to calm down, but in the moment you made me feel so safe and relevant and you treated me better in that short amount of time than I've ever been treated by anyone. Thank you so much for doing what you do, waiting for 4 hours was definitely worth it.
I loved meeting you yesterday, Tom! You were so unbelievably charming throughout and helpful when I got nervous and talked about nothing. Thank you so much for an experience I won't ever forget.

You were so lovely! I travelled an hour and a half to Birmingham to come and see you and you were still so lovely despite your lack of sleep. I was the one who asked you about your journey and we ended up talking about Morrisons 😂 I have waited 13 years to meet you and it took everything not to cry or to die on the spot. Thank you for making this moment so magical. I hope to cross paths sometime again in the future, I've met both you and Carrie and I'm happy to say you are both two of the nicest people I have ever met and you should be very proud of yourself. I've been lucky enough to meet you five times and every single time you have seriously been lovely and have put that special touch on that makes every visit worth the wait whether it's commenting on the fact that i brought a Busted ticket for you guys to sign as you were the support act at that show or when I invited you to my school show and you got your phone out to check if you were free! ahh I can safely say you did make me and my sister and my friend feel special and very happy at the signing in bham yesterday! we were in the back end of the queue so was waiting in the rain and cold for a few hrs think we got in to you about 2.30. but you were so lovely to us that we forgot the rain and wait and it was all worth it! and im usually shy and nervous but I really wanted to talk and you made that feel really easy to do! me and my sister gave you letters as we knew time was limited but we still felt like we had a good chat and it was all very worth waiting that long for. bet you were exhausted! but you didn't show it! u were bopping to the Christmas songs when we came over ^_^ .. so you saying you try to be nice and make sure everyone has a great time.. I can confirm u did that and more for us so thank u! also thank u for the hug too and for spending even more time for us to get pictures with u too to help our memories but I'll never forget it anyway! have fun at the last signing! xxx

I met you with McBusted last year and I absolutely love James Bourne and at the end of the meet and greet after I had calmed down a tiny bit he asked me what my name was. Like wtf why would James Bourne want to know my name? I couldn't believe he'd asked me and I told him and Danny said my name in a funny voice which made me laugh. I also met Busted this year and you are all such nice guys and so down to earth I knew you were but it was nice to see in person too!! I've dreamed of seeing you live and hopefully meeting you someday, but I'm American. I missed you when all of you came to Atlanta in 2009 because I was 3+ hours away at college with no car (my hometown is literally like 1 hour from Atlanta). I totally would have been at the airport to greet you with the handful of others, but sadly, I had no way to get there. I was majorly bummed. :( I'm not sure if you will see this, but just know that you have fans in America, and I was completely obsessed with you and McFly in high school. Everyone who knew me knew about you too! :) I can't believe it's been 10 years already!
