This has to be one of the best shows in the Railway Calender Phil, and with superbly chosen locations and improving weather conditions, you've captured some stunning images....Bob
No matter how popular Tornado or Britannia are, the stars of the show for me were the Caley and the Coal Tank. Such exquisite locomotives. Wonderfully filmed and a brilliant video. Great work.
Wonderful selection of locomotives on show in this superb video of steam in wales. Thanks for sharing, Phil, it's been a pleasure to watch and nice to have something from wales. Regards, Rich :D
lovely to see an auto coach train with a pannier in the middle, and I'd love to ride in a guards van, you appear to have been on a dry day, lucky you, wonderful video Phil, Cheers.
Cracking footage Phill, looked like a great event with lots of locomotives on display. I think many people came for Tornado and Britannia but for me 828 and the Coal Tank won it for me. Just wish we could have been there. JamesandPeter
Hi Phil. What a day. Some great footage. Great locos, SSS should read sights, sounds and scenery. Fantastic. Loved the Blue 828, what a great engine. (MonopodMans video will be uploaded Sunday morning as its slow broadband on a Saturday night) regards Mark
Absolutely superb coverage Phil with some lovely scene setting at the start. I agree with the other comment re the big engines, 828 for me would steal the show anywhere and she looks so right for this line
Nice video Phill. We seem to following each other around the country I was at Houghton Tower when you was at Lango and I spent the weekend at Carrog campsite for the Steam Steel and Stars 111.One of these days I am sure we will meet. Dave
Excellent Phil. First class. Lovely opening shot with the old and the "new" side by side. And what about that whistle from 70000 at 06.00? Spine-tingling!! All the best....Tim.
Phil, we had that much footage that MonopodMan has put his on his channel already and I will put my footage on Monopodmansdad hopefully today. It was hard for all of us deciding what clips to leave out. regards Mark
Fantastic, I love how at 9:48 you can hear CR 828's whistle in the distance. Makes me proud to be Scottish! I don't think we'll be seeing galas like this post COVID :(
