Great review! This little tuner from MFJ is the updated version of their 901B. The newer compact size uses 3 toroids of type 2 mix to replace the air core inductor in the 901. They also added a bypass switch. As long as the user is very careful to not flip either the bypass or the inductance switches while transmitting, all should be OK. I have the 901 version and it is a very decent "T" type tuner with a 4:1 voltage balun on the ouput if you are feeding balanced line. No worries at 100 watts. Perfect for POTA or SHTF. Not sure I'd pay $160 for the new version though when I can get an old used 2nd hand version for much less. As ALWAYS, check all the solder connections first before you ever put this unit on the air. We all know about the quality control issues. It will be a very easy fix if you find anything loose inside. 73 & good DX

I don't understand how you are not transmitting while adjusting the induction.
Noting that you say in the video, not to transmit while adjusting the inductance.
my comment was "Never hold the push to talk button while you're changing the inductance." which is what is described in the owner's manual on page 3, "WARNING: Never transmit while changing the INDUCTOR switch."
