Good review very close power output I found on mine! I to have the tiny sa. Would you tell me how you set up your unit. I have a 40 db attenuator but do not know how to set up the tiny sa! Thank you in advance...

I know it may not be legal but can this transmit on MURS frequencies?

Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. I do believe that is possible

If you set it to unlocked mode you can transmit on MURS.

I have a question about the offset (24) menu item. I have already programmed some simplex channels and some repeater channels and set them up in the radio using CHIRP. The simplex obviously have a zero offset and the Repeater ones have the proper offset. It looks correct in CHIRP and it works properly in the radio, but when I go to the 24 menu for a given channel I have set up it does not seem like this value represents what the current channel is set up for (in CHIRP) but the upper A channel shows a zero (even if on a repeater) and an offset on the lower B channel even if it was setup as a simplex without an offset. It seems like it is not representing the actual selected / editing channel as it is pre-programmed into the radio.
Does the 24 menu represent what that programm channel is actually set to (it does not seem like it is) or is this just a pre-set value when you create a new channel ot save into the radio from the front buttons?
I also notice in CHIRP that if I go to the SETTINGS A/B CHANNEL area.. it shows the A without an offset and the B with one... again, is that just a default for new channel creation?
Thanks for any help explaining this so I can understand it.

Nice video. I'm curious whether it is possible to mitigate the issues with spurious emissions via FW update or this is purely hardware issue.

I think they did that with the H8, made a FW change to bring it inline, but maybe others can confirm.

Thank you for taking the time to watch and the comment! It is greatly appreciated. According to Tidradio how ever you order the radio, Ham version for example, they see leave it that way, and it should be fine. I am having another one sent that I am going to retest it to see if that is in fact true.

The spurious emissions tests I've seen mostly walk the line between some being just within spec to some pretty narrowly failing...a fail is a fail, but this radio is cleaner than anything else in its class and a lot or radios well above it's class. Air band is a cool feature, but most of the expanded rx stuff with radios right now is mostly a marketing gimmick. There's nothing these radios are actually picking up way down in the 6meter band besides the harmonics of the weather service around 59khz, or up in 500, 600, and up to 900khz range other than noise from devices or dmr radios, and the 11meter or cb rx is mostly useless unless you're practically sitting on top of the CB that's transmitting. Claiming 8-9 rx bands is cool, but they're really tri banders with low end airband and fm radio rx in practicality from what I've seen.
