Enshrouded is 100% one of the best survival games out there. I was lucky enough to get a key and streamed it a few times. It plays very well and the building mechanics is DEEP. Plus, almost everything is destructible. If this is "early" then their future is very bright.

finished the game in a little more than a 100 hours. so gorgeous and fun, i havent had a blast like that in a long long while with a game. there are a few flaws but the major one is that its not bigger and longer.

I play Enshrouded solo and I still enjoy the experience and the challenge.
it's become astonishingly clear that AAA doesn't care about fun, engaging content, it's just strictly, "how do we make the most money the fastest? Oh customers might be unhappy? that's alright, we took their money already."
Or, to preach "The message" instead of making a good game
It's definitely a good game but there's already an oversaturation of survival games and 2024 is gonna fill the pool even further
Hence why numbers will be low
I wish we had some good indie shooters I do like a few Survival games if their done right
oversaturation sucks for devs but it helps the cream of the crop rise to the top

Enshrouded was fun but too much of a fantasy settings.. Palworld? Fun if you like pokémon but don't see it as a survival game at all. There is a ton of room in the survival genre. Not many gems atm. Valheim/enshrouded that's it.
@i3d3 Conan Exiles, Valheim, Icarus, Raft, Grounded, Mist, Vein, Smallands, Sons of the Forest, Medieval Dynasty, Palworld, Enshrouded, Myth of Empires, Nightingale and then you have the granddaddies DayZ, Rust, & Ark, and that's just off the top of my head.
I kinda hope all there survival-crafting games will just... stop. There's too many of them. Also, I want more Baldur's Gate 3 and less Minecraft these days.
@BigfryTV the game gets much more manageable difficulty wise, once you have the first armor set. Gear is a big component of this game as well and I am noticing your game play didn't get you that far yet, which is likely why you were having difficulty in that area. You're expected to get that armor set by grinding out the materials from the beginning area. But because the game is like Dark Souls they don't tell you that, and you have to discover it after you get your first tools. You use the materials from the starting spot to make your armor and this gives you passive healing and stamina along with damage resistance increases to help you in combat.

Yeah this game is suprisingly polished, ive not run into a single bug yet, and only a handful of FPS crashes. Cant wait to get back into this game as soon as more content is added.

It's definitely an early access game with only about 33% of the map done and a big red Early Access boundary wall you run into. Also if you played with friends you might wonder why they offer dedicated servers and 16 players when they have progression tied to the server and not the player.houses are limited too. Will wait and see what they do to accommodate groups who don't always play together at the same time.

I play solo, so i basically didnt even start the main quest, but i have an amazing Shrine home, carved in ground, amazing what can you do in this game
I duo with a buddy and ventured to East Lapis with a level 1 flame and being level 5 and our equipment is lvl 23's 😂
After Rust the old one with zombies not the newer one, all survival games got boring for me.
But Enshrouded definitely is more like Skyrim and has voxel terrain, still not my cup of tea and bores me pretty quickly but for someone that love its genre Im sure will be an amazing game...
Edit: for me the only current survival game is only Pacific Drive exactly cause its just different from everything else, it has a lot of annoying stuff for sure but it's still a breath of fresh air for me being different from all other games, just like Death Stranding when it came out, you can only hate it or love it, but they are both fresh breeds 😎
I agree with all points. There needs more enemy variation, and it can be difficult/boring without friends, but it's super polished and I been enjoying the game while I wait for Dragon's Dogma 2 to release lol
Enshrouded is amazing. I'm seriously hooked on this and cannot wait to see what's in store for the full release! Playing with friends makes the enemies tougher so its a trade off.
This game has been on my radar, timing wasn’t great for it as it was the week after Palworld but I’ve heard nothing but good things. Will definitely be jumping in one day when I can convince a group to follow
Portal Knights was a lot of fun, had this voxel terrain manipulation too. Nice to see a German studio have success after the semi-demise of Daedelic.
wait before you buy! my friend and i loved this survival RPG and were heartbroken when we hit the lvl 25 cap and couldn't progress anymore
Love the game. It's indeed very polished already. Currently at endgame level wise, because looking at the map there seem to be allot more. I'd say we can explore about 1/4 of the full map. And even that 1/4 is hugh. My comment on combat is really about timing, I actualy have died more from mistakes then ever in combat. block/timing is your friend. As being on end game for now I'm going into building. I have my homebase with all NPC characters. But it has everything fairly basic. Now working on a true living place.
Enshrouded's fatal flaw is it's too easy and ends way too soon because of that.
Hmm I wonder if they tweaked difficultly in the last couple weeks. One of my initial concerns on launch day was that it was too easy and that playing as a group would completely trivialize it.
Not sure what it was but I found the game lacking something... hard to explain, I just did not get excited playing it like it lacked a soul or something.
I think it's the combat and pretty much lack luster world/questing. If you love base building then enshrouded is crazy. Still waiting for that survival game that had top notch action combat and a blend between Mêlee and guns..i don't need over the top base building.

gameplay is fun BUT not when it feels like less than 60fps while running at 140fps. this game has some serious performance issues and stuttering. i wouldn't call that polished
They have addressed this. The camera is basically locked at 60fps (and maybe some animations) so even though the game is uncapped it feels laggy. It is the only thing keeping me away from this game but they will fix it in a few weeks.
Definitely in my top 25 games of all time. This game is incredible.
gaming IS NOT DYING, GAMING IS GROWING! Growing comes with shedding the dead/diseased parts of the industry. BOY AM I HAPPY to see so many AA/Indie studios CRUSHING IT. I hope the remaining AAA studios after this purge LEARN and go back to their roots. If they don't they'll all be left behind.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again - I hate survival games.
But enshrouded? There’s just something about it that makes me want to come back. It’s legitimately one of only games I’m truly enjoying right now.
Oh nice! I didn't think you were gonna pick this game up! I could spend all day just building stuff in this game, it's awesome! Being able to place like small, individual blocks is cool.
Edit: oh and yeah I totally agree, Enshrouded is a much better survival game and rpg than Palworld (which absolutely blew up)
Palworld is fun but it's not a great game imo
Sounds like how Atlas had early growing pains. The Devs idea was that you would have very large companies. What they thought that means, I don't know. I seem to remember something about them saying they envisioned you would have around 50 people helping you do battle. As a result, the animals and the ghost fleets were insanely powerful. And the Alphas were even worse. Now add in that the animals could run away and heal, then come back ready to do battle at 100%. Meanwhile, you are nearly dead.
Again, this was because they expected you would have a lot of people fighting together. But good grief, we had 3 very good bears killed by one single Alpha Pig. We didn't even know it was around. We were trying to kill some normal pigs, and out of nowhere comes this Alpha pig that wrecked us hard. But here's the thing. We only had 4 people on 3 bears. We had a little bit large company, but not 50 people, but at the time we had maybe 10 online, but the others were out doing something else. Gathering other stuff we needed. But regardless, they wouldn't have helped. That Alpha pig was going to wreck us anyway.
So after complaints, they finally relented and reduced the power of the animals. Biggest change was they didn't heal very quickly. That was reduced drastically. But they also reduced the max level of the animals, by a lot.
So, Enshrouded seems to have a similar problem. Maybe not as extreme, but similar. Why wouldn't they make it such that the strength of the enemies depends on how many you have in the server? This way you could make the fights challenging but doable for 1 person, or 16, and everything in between.
Gonna wait for another sale, then buy it.
Enshrouded looks awesome! Definitely going to get it when it comes to PS5 at some point.

I played the whole game solo, 100% completion and sure some boss' were challenging but totally doable.
Dont like the mindless combat
I love the game buuuuuuut the performance issues (mainly the fps cap etc) are killing it for me. Hope it will be resolved soon.
It's good but we definitely need stalker too. I'm tired of everything being in the old days for survival
As a terminally solo player, it's sad that I'll have to pass on this game.
Meh... I'll stick with Vallheim.
I have over 1700 hours in Valheim. I run three servers for it. Enshrouded is better. Only thing I like more about Valheim is building integrity. Enshrouded has none it's Minecraft building albeit a thousand times better. I have built some insane looking structures. Never have I wanted to live in my structures more.

I wouldn't exactly say enshrouded is "fucking polished" the progression feels very sluggish, when the sun sets in-game my frames just die down to 20-30, sometimes when launching the game it runs at a max of 40fps but when I join someone else it runs just fine and there is no balance within the skill tree. there is no reason to go archer and having to craft every single arrow when a mage gets infinite uses on their spells, the melee falls off very hard late game to the point of it being useless and there is really no reason to spec into "beastmaster" or "assassin"

They did just release an update yesterday that halves the amount of twigs needed to craft arrows, and increased the yield of twigs and feathers you get per bush/source of feathers. Definitely a massive improvement for archers

Yo solo players. How was the experience for those of us with no friends to play with? This is my only worry stopping me from buying this.
Just a suggestion: link to other sponsored videos (at least a couple) where you have canned the game being reviewed so we know you can do that too, IMO. Your content is probably trustworthy but new viewers might need help in finding such videos in your content.
the fact that you are forced to finish quests if you play in a lobby.. all chests just reset when you log out and back in.. only 1 person can summon the npcs you save, one at a time.. the combat is subpar and full of stunlocks and has zero difficulty.. doesnt in fact make this game suck lol

You're struggling because none of you are mages and the melee combat isn't properly balanced.
I found it too short without enough content. There’s no real survival mechanics, I’m getting annoyed that they think any game with a health bar is survival these days! Usually all it takes is a food/drink system to be called survival and it doesn’t even have that. There no base defence mechanics, most of the mobs drop the same loot from level 1 to 30 and the respawn of shroud etc means that you never actually alter the world. End game is farming the same few gold chests until you have the best gear then that’s it. Done.
I will say the graphics are nice for the most part, combat isn’t bad and the building is fun but all in all it’s fairly cookie cutter at the moment.

I bought this game and I wish I could return it, it's unfinished, where valheim has 10h of content, this game has less but pads it out to 60.
Also this is a sponsored video, if a video game was good, it would NOT NEED TO PAY for ads.
Last I checked the game sat at mostly positive. Also, pretty sure I remember videos sponsored by Baldur's Gate 3, which everyone loved and sold extremely well. So no, being a terrible game is no prerequisite for sponsorships.

Also Larian sponsored videos before the release because they did not expect the game to explode, whoever was in their marketing was likely doing a job, if you can find me an example of them sponsoring a video post-success I'll concede my point, but I was not able to find something after looking just now.
