As someone who has followed and played tennis for over 30 years and watched many futures matches, the level, even at the bottom of ITF Futures level is insane. It is so hard to obtain an ATP world ranking these days as there are so many talented players around. But I think getting that first ATP point is the hardest and after that, ATP points and wins will flow. Love your honesty and transparency Felix. Just enjoy your journey as a pro tennis player and see where it takes you.
@@Batwam0 yes it's crazy how little money futures players are paid. A lot of the Futures players now are getting creative by starting YT channels (like Felix) or starting small business side hustles so that they have the money to live their dream to play tennis. But from what I've seen is that the players who progress out of the futures onto the challenger tour quickly are generally the ones who have a career as a pro. The ones that struggle in futures even if they have a ranking as high as 350 or 400 are the ones that struggle and usually quit their dream early. I'm actually friends with James Mcgee who reached 150 in the world once told me that the key to getting to the upper levels of tennis i.e. top 100, is having a top team around you such as a top coach, physio, trainer etc. But this obviously costs big ££££££ which most players cant afford.
@Batwam said the same thing man and that 50 euros was after getting to Quarter finals ... that isn't even a days worth of good income at more than minimum wage (for US dollars) after winning multiple matches
@@landonlowe4029 mind you, there is so much opportunity now for young players to start their own business online whether it is being a YT creator, online store or another hustle, there is actually a lot of opportunities now for young players now to fund their tennis dream just like Felix and Simon Freund.
Those who think your not seriously pushing forward with this endeavor simply haven’t been watching you long enough. Your self discipline greatly exceeds that of average people , and your energy level on court and on video is off the charts . Your super positive attitude in the face of lost matches, injury , trolls , and arm chair coaches like myself will carry you through any situation you find yourself in. Felix , you are an exceptional person.
Troll here: Felix hasn't gotten his first atp point yet because he would run out of ideas for videos. Not getting that point is vital for this channel's survival 😂
Felix, I suggest you look further into the NCAA route in the United States. Because of the NCAA’s NIL rule, you are allowed to maintain your revenue stream from RUclips, and all resources from equipment, coaching, transportation, lodging during out of town events, clothing, room&board, and food are all covered. The amount of money it would save in the long run is immense. The talent pool is strong too, so you would have a lot of competition. I went to school in Texas with Cam Norrie and remember seeing him practicing as a young freshman. If not for his experience at TCU, there’s no way he would have ever made it as high up the rankings as he did. His game grew so much. Yours could do the same in the US, and you can still share the journey with us thanks to NIL.
If I can give anyone one bit of advice it's very simple. You will *never* regret trying and failing. That is really all you need to do. Push yourself to your limit and see how far you can go. To go through this journey in life having played against some top players, a successful RUclips channel, and yet chasing your passion, well done! Felix, your story is quite inspirational so thanks! Because of your journey, a bunch of players out there get to experience the 'dream' with you. How many guys get to push themselves to their limit? It's something every kid should try, but few are lucky enough. All the best ahead and thanks.
Excellent comments. Indeed, he will not regret this no matter where it takes him. The experience is special and invaluable. Also, agree that many of us are living the dream through him. I’m over 40 years old and watching and wishing I could have done the same!
One of the simplest reasons is just the lack of a junior carreer, having good results in juniors allows you to get some privileges and way more wild cards, and even if your win rate isn't good you'll still get points under your belt by starting directly from the main draw and getting access to challenger yournaments.
I hope that you don't feel the pressure of getting that point because of your channel. The people that are subscribed are honestly here for the entire journey. You've got that support already.
Hi, Felix! I have an interesting question for you! If you can go back in the past, will you choose to start this journey again or you will just play tennis for fun and enter a university? Glad if you see this😊Btw I'll be with you along this epic journey because I don't know what life journey i wanna take for now ( on one side maybe becoming a pro player one day, who knows, and on the other just be like everyone else and get a job). So yea, hope u see that and wish u the best luck!
Hey Felix! It’s not only the passion you have for tennis that amuses me, but also the effort you’ve put into this journey. I watch every single video of yours and can’t thank you enough for the many things I learn from you each time I wind down and just listen to what you tell. You’re a great inspiration for future tennis players and everyday youngsters like me who acknowledge the effort they need to achieve their goals (look, I’m from Spain and don’t even like Alcaraz!). Keep pushing forward and congrats for the great idea of making money with this! You’ll always have our support 🎾🎾 I have a suggestion for your videos… sometimes the shorter they are the far more appealing they seem. Besides, could you include any tipps on each video for amateur players? I mean, things you think may help us to improve our technique or that seem useful (in the end, for instance).
the secret to tennis is you must have a weapon or some sort that you love to "show of" in a good way in court. like you love to play tennis so much because you have a good forehand that you can blast them to win games or a unique backhand, or fast serve etc. anything that you have like even a speedy foot that can run to all balls. you wake up in the morning and eager to play on court because you love that thing that you have that the others are struggling. like maybe you have a good mind game like a chess master etc. Do what you love and show it on tennis court.
This channel does a great job in displaying the hard work that is needed to make it into the Top 100 ATP, let alone the ATP tour. hope you get your 1st ATP point soon and many more after that. Once you begin it is easier to keep on going since you will be even more motivated.
Hey Felix, You have got what it takes, groundstrokes, volleys, quickness. And most importantly, work ethics. Keep pushing and eventually xou get your point and more. Greetings from Austria
Hey bro, been watching you for a while and have literally have been playing right besides you in between my college tennis and tournaments, even if you don't go as far as you want you need to know and be grateful at the level you are playing at cause no average joe could ever see that side of the court. And on top of that you can make a living off of doing what you love and that can be a rare case. Keep grinding bro the path to success is never exponential.
Recent matches at Challenge level between the likes of Murray, Monfils, Wawrinka and Paul indicate just how tough the tennis environment really is. I think you're doing a valuable job showing the real day to day of what the vast majority of professional players have to face. Keep up the good work!
I think many people simply underestimate the immense struggle one has to endure to become a professional tennis player. I would guess, even what we see is only a part of the whole picture, still. I think it's amazing to have this shown by you what it takes. How far you'll get? Nobody knows, but it's a decision. Keep it up, like your videos 😀
Much respect for not giving up and being consistent on the way to reaching your goal. I'm personally going through some tough times as well in professional career, this video has literally cheered me up. Thank you!
Hi Felix! Keep up the hard work, you are an inspiration to a lot of young kids who play individual sports 🙂. I really appreciate your channel. Hope we get to see a week in your training life!
This is so useful and interesting! Love it!! Good luck, but you’ve already made it in a sense - you’re good enough to teach professionally as a career or do many other things in tennis, but I think you’re also going to rise up the rankings and do quite alright for yourself as a player.
Your videos and your journey, are testaments of how hard it really is and the level of competition in the ranked tennis world. It makes us appreciate the pros we watch daily, and think about the pains and trainings they must have gone through, and how much passion is required for such achievements. We are lucky and privileged to learn about the inner game of tennis from the likes of you, who are truly hard working. It helps me with my game to watch your analysis of your games, and I respect your mental toughness and your attitude even though you are much younger than I am. I have seen how you played against ranked players and those games could have gone either way. You have what it takes, and please don’t let any haters get to you. I am sure you already feel down, after “failed” attempts. You are better every day, and even your equipment reviews are top notch and no non~sense. Out of all the similar channels, this is the only one that I know, which lives up to its name and claim. Thanks for your effort. We all share one thing in common: we love this game
Looking in from the outside, it‘s obvious that you‘re making progress! Especially in the bigger picture. I‘m looking forward to see your journey this year and the following year(s)!:) your videos are entertaining and inspire me to give my best on court as well (even tho I‘m obviously just a recreational player)
Nice to hear Felix, question from me. Is something like being a warm-up tennis player on the side something for you. To learn more about what the pro’s do and get to know the tour a little better. For example like Grisha did from gladiotorstennis.
Following your journey motivated me to go to watch my first challenger tourament last week (Surbiton). Previously I was only bothered to go to slams semis & finals. But your videos made me realise how high the level is, even with the ITF qualification rounds. I think now I enjoy tennis from a different perspective, not just the star appeal but tennis itself as a fascinating game. Plus the atmophere was great and intimate and I never felt so engaged as a spectator! Your journey is as great as that of Alcarazes.
You are absolutely inspirational and I wish I had the self-discipline to pursue something I was talented at (e.g. music, drama) to the level that you have. I’ve never been brave enough and now, at 40, I look back and think ‘why didn’t I have a go?’. You’ve done exactly that and as long as you have the finances to have a go, then keep at it. Best of luck! :)
You need a certain level to get 1 ATP point and even to qualify in ITF futures is very difficult for most players and a great accomplishment. Most qualifying matches you are playing people that are 11+ UTR (MINIMUM), which is a solid level, up to about 13 UTR (MAXIMUM), which is main draw level. Most likely Felix will have to keep improving his UTR to above 12, and then he will have a serious chance to get ATP points, especially in Asia or South America. The level in Europe and North America tends to be too high for most players to get even (1) ATP point unless they are 12.5+ (or higher). Below are the minimum levels from what I have seen to get ATP points: -11.5+ UTR to get 1 ATP point in Africa; 11+ UTR to qualify to main draw -12+ UTR to get 1 ATP point South America and Asia; 11.5+ to qualify to main draw -12.5+ UTR to get 1 ATP point in Europe and USA; 12+ UTR to qualify to main draw
very true those events are usually easier , however i am not sure whether i want to go to congo for a tournament yet , i think developing my game post surgery is a bit more important, and once that is better then going to those places is the plan
There are many tournaments in Tunisia, Ethiopia and Morocco before there even is a tournament in the scary Congo this summer. Do you really want to get a point or just hype up your channel?
@@tennisbrothers You are right that "level" is what matters long term...you are young and have a lot of time to improve, so soon you will probably be 12.5 UTR, in the next year or so. At that point, you will be qualifying and getting ATP points consistently; especially in Mexico, Asia, Africa, or South America. Best of luck. Futures tennis is a hard battle that not many people realize or understand, as I did it for 2 years full time as well when I was your age, I get it.... 😃😛. Talk soon....
Yep. You know the drill. Same as it's been for 30+ years now. Enter the low-entry satellites (as we used to call them), double book them and pull out of the ones with a stacked draw. But it takes money and the freedom/financing to travel and make last minute adjustments. Felix hits nice, but he's playing against bangers in real qualie draws. There's an easier route to a point, but it costs time and money to do it.
Regarding the last question - people like Alcaraz and Sinner and Rune - they have real talent and are wired differently. It is not because they were in the best academies that they reached there. Sinner, for example, has not even played Tennis before he reached age 13 and look where he was by age 19. It's sheer talent. They are just built different
you're absolutely right but a quick correction: sinner played tennis from a very young age but played just for fun. he was focused on skiing competitely until 13 and then he switched to tennis and started taking it serious :)
Sinner did play tennis from his younger age, at 12 he decided to leave skying and put all his effort in tennis. I had the priviledge to see him at that age playing tennis and It was very clear he had such an incredible talent in hitting the ball, neveretheless he was 1,5 m tall and weighted 35 kg. At the time Sartori saw him and lead him to Piatti.
@@tennisfitapp Yep, but the "myth" that working hard will lead you inevitably to the real professional tennis is not real. Without talent and work none can reach the atp ranking, but only a few can do it at the superior level needed to reach the top100 and only 1 or 2 for year can be a future top10. Tennis is a cruel sport!
Hi Felix - brave interview - thanks for being so candid and sharing the journey with us. Your videos are great to watch and very insightful. We are here to support you in what you need! 🚀
as someone who competes on the itf tour as well, its just difficult. just about everyone is good. sometimes you just need a bit of luck to kickstart your career
I love watching the videos you post and it makes me think and follow a journey where in another life, I would be following the same path. We're all rooting for you and I remember seeing like 16,000 subs or close and the absolute increase in subs, we're here for you! We're hoping to see the growth and one day the main draw in a slam ??? 👀
Hi Felix, I was at DL yesterday and saw you guys playing, your doing great and moving solid, keep going. My son was on the court next to you. That question "Do you think you have what it takes?" is one of the worst questions to ask someone who's doing all they can to reach their fullest potential, please don't ever give up on your dream - and yes please don't give damn about those people who have the nerve to ask that question! Results are not in your hands but the effort, and time and time again your proving your putting that effort, just don't stop the work ethic. Your not on your own and you have people who are backing you that you can do this and reach your goals! I heard a speech the other day, "results are not measured by the score board but by the effort" don't ever stop fighting and if ever you find that you feel like giving up then reach out to the people who have always been there in the good and the bad times to pick you back up. Keep fighting! You got this!
Hey Felix... i understand your feelings and thoughts as a tennis player.. KEEP GRINDING I wanted to ask you few questions related to scheduling... for example- 1) How do you manage gym, outdoor fitness and tennis sessions in a way that gives you maximum output while not overusing the body? 2) When's your recovery time and what's your sleeping time? 3) While between all this how you manage to take diet and giving proper interval between all different session? I hope you see my comment and help me with this. Thanks for showing us your journey it very informational and helpful.
It’s the, “behind the scenes” that draws my attention 👏🏼 you’re right, we ALL see the highlights of how great so and so is, buuut I think it’s more about the journey and the process you’re achieving! Keep it up lad ✊🏼 rooting for you 🔱🔥
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Go Felix!!! Perfect attitude.... Would love to see a video on you applying tactics for winning points, maybe a training session with serve plus one...
It took me One year before winning my first ATP point, that was 20 first round qualifying losses, So young man, keep at it, your time will come! I have some advice if you care to listen as you said you were serious. 1) Learn to meditate, as mental awareness & attention control is vital. Learning to stay in the now is vital and ultimately with practice you’ll be able to lose focus and recover it mid-rally 👍 There are many types so research and find what works for you . Personally Qigong training covered many different aspects of breath work and mind & body balance. 2) Become the fittest player you know? I became the strongest & fittest player in my Country and that helps when you go on court knowing you can outlast any opponent! Are you the fittest & strongest (for tennis) UK player yet? Keep working at it 👍 3) Consider all elements of your game & who you are? What makes you different from the other players? 4) Do you currently measure And chart various things each time you are on court match or practice. In order to understand your mind bod & performance! Certain things need to be measured & understood each day! Too long to go into on this post but maybe your Coach has you doing these things? 5) Do you train daily “Active Focus Drills” These are what you should use when you become aware you’ve lost Focus. Learning them is one thing and deciding which ones work best for you? Then making sure they become the backbone of your Mental Focus on court is what matters. 6) Tennis is about winning, so be sure to balance training & improvement on the practice Court and When it’s match time Focus on winning the points One at a time! Find a way to Win, even if your quality of play is not great on some match days. 7) Finally, make sure your intensity is exactly the same on the practice Court as it is on the match court. Treat them the same and cultivate “One way of being” on court. That’s all or else I’ll be giving away all the secrets! 😂 Good Luck 🤞& keep working hard.
I have a struggle: I've always played tennis at a competitive level, since I was a child, but I was too scared of saying that my dream was playing at the highest levels, so I didn't grow with this mentality. I discovered my beast just a couple of months ago, I started training more, harder and also alone, eating well and bringing with me my family intk this journey. But in the past years I developed many other skills: I play in a band, I'm very good in school and I'm really afraid of risking everything to focus just on tennis. And I still haven't talked to anyone about my real dream. I don't know what to do
Felix, you have all that it takes. We are here to support you. You got this. You're just learning about yourself and how you fit with your great skills within different environments. You'll see, when things start aligning for you, you'll take a major leap forward. Keep grinding, the diamond is close. Cheers and looking forward to more. M
Felix. Can I ask why you chose not to go to College. Can be a great stepping stone for 11-13 UTRs to develop in high level facilities and basically all for free?
It’s great to be on this journey with you! You have great talent, movement and forehand. Most of all you have great drive and mentality. Keep working hard… I look forward to you cracking the world’s top 100. Then, keep getting better from there!
It’s truly amazing how much work is put into becoming a pro player. Such a long lonely journey that could have less than desirable results. I think all tennis fans should watch your videos. Keep up the great work!
I love watching your progress! Started watching your channel at the beginning of this series and was curious because I felt like you were so far off the level needed(and judging from the early videos your were tbh), but man have you improved a tone! I am quite sure you will get some points soon. Your body transformation is literally insane. You have the body, very good agility and touch. Your dedication and professional infrastructure are grrat. Your serve and forehand are ok, backhand needs some more work, but you are getting there. Best of luck!
Felix, keep playing, improving, and i have no doubt even in 3 years time you'll be looking back and realise how far you've come. Gotta just push yourself on this journey, and try and be the best possible version of yourself at this beautiful sport ... 🎾
Excited for the day you get that first point. It'll come! Even without an ATP point, you're an inspiration to others like myself who want to play tennis seriously and improve in our own ways. Keep up the good and hard work! I'm confident it will pay off for you sooner rather than later.
Competing in Tournaments takes a fair amount of funding even just in the UK . The level in any sport even at the amateur level is very high and Tennis is one of those sports that has many many people competing all driven by the glitz and glam of the proffesionals , maybe you should concentrate on doubs as you are getting some success in that discipline , the USA college system is a good path also so maybe think about this if you have an opportunity. Have fun whatever you do and yes listen to your body, sometime resting is the best training you can do in order to keep on track.......
Comparing yourself to others is a sure fire way to become absolutely miserable. I respect your outlook on your journey Felix - great attitude which I think will help you moving forward to achieve your goals. Good luck.
Hi Felix! I've been following your channel for a while now and wanted to finally comment. Your transparency, honesty, and dedication to the sport has been truly inspiring as someone who ended up going to uni and not following through with tennis. I think your mindset will take you as far as you want given good health and confidence. Finally, you're doing great, most people don't know how difficult tennis is at your level!
This is very motivating to see as an amateur tennis player. This guy is awesome, even if he struggles to get to the top ranks, I'll still watch his channel over the likes of the vast majority of professional tennis player because we can clearly see this guy is likeable and I feel connected to Felix a lot more than other tennis players because he is a lot more relatable than the other players which have gone to professional tennis camps since the age of 10.
You have a great mindset and you're incredibly mature already! Keep going, Felix, it's a great pleasure to witness your jorney, wherever it takes you at end!
Love your drive Felix! Keep working hard and try to be the best player you can be! This definitely helps me on my mindset with improving my own game. I'm 36 and there's still room to improve. I'm no where near how talented you are but that won't stop me 😂🎉
Good luck! With work first point will come. People dont understand how hard tennis is for 90% of the players as they only see top 100 players winning huge amounts of money
I really like your answer to the Alcatraz question. I would suggest you just one more piece of thought: starting "later" probably means that you appreciate and learn so much more from training than those who started without your maturity. So I really believe that your training journey is so much more meaningful and will help 10 fold! Good luck 😊 We're all here with you!
'Do you have what it takes?' -- 'I don't care' is probably the best answer to this question. We can all apply this answer and attitude towards our goals and dreams
Keep doing you man you will definitely get there and break into the top 1000 singles and beyond. A lot of top juniors struggle to get anywhere in the pro futures series at first but a good amount of them turn that around in 1-3 years and break into the top 200!
We are all cheering for you and enjoying your matches. I am very surprised about how much I get into those matches and how much I want you to win. When I see you winning your first GS match, I am going to be the guy saying, I knew Felix when he was starting! lol
You are presently my favorite player in the world, and I have been playing and following tennis since the 1970s. Keep on going! I hope to see you live one day.
Way to go Felix! You have a great attitude and that will take you as far as you want. I am a fellow tennis player starting on the ITF tour and I know how tough it is your resilience and positive mindset is above and beyond admirable keep going and love to watch your journey.
Wow about some discouraging comments . Many people fails to understand hard work and positive & Win mentality. Yall need to chill and check why you don’t accomplish your goals instead of coming here to comment if rich dad or that he would be broke if not for this. Losers mentality is what you guys have
Love it...keep going...enjoybwatching the matches you post in your tourneys...love your attitude and goals and ambitions and outlook. Best wishes on continuing the journey
I enjoy watching your journey, I only started playing tennis 3 years ago and love it and train everyday after work and with my son. You can make huge progress in a short period of time. It will happen for you, you will get atp points in singles. Stick at it, perseverance is the secret to success.
The most important thing for you is to figure out how to find your stride much earlier in matches. You play your best when you’re down by a set, feel like you have little to lose, and then you start swinging a lot freer. If you could get into that groove early and start winning first sets, I think you’d find yourself going much deeper into tournaments.
Do you think you have what it takes? 'I don't really care.' Have some more self-confidence. You need to fully believe that you are capable, and that you will win against any player that you face to have a chance. This is the difference in the top players. You can do it too, but you need a mindset shift. Good luck. Great content so far, I'll be sticking around to watch your journey. Just keep my 2 cents in mind, only trying to help. Cheers.
Hi Felix thanks for all the videos you make i have always dreamed and still dream of becoming a professional tennis player and thanks to you i keep working hard and believing ,thank you💪
If you get an ATP point, then you are going to get such a motivation boost that it could be possible that you achieve the 10pts less then a month after
well done, Felix. A difficult video to make and a brave decision to make it! I work hard on my tennis and often ask myself why I am not progressing as fast as Alcaraz or you. I am beginning to come to the conclusion that I am not as naturally gifted as you 🙂
Yes and No , it depends where you go to be honest, This has been on my list to do and go to, however it is difficult with planning these trips and visas and filming rules and lots of other things, so i am planning some trips like these in the months to come, you also never know how easy an actual tournament will be before you play it , so it's a pretty big risk to go there and not get in or get a tough draw.
@@tennisbrothers Yeah i agree, but i think you should try some of these tournaments to see how you’re gonna do. I wish you a good luck in future tournaments and hope you’ll make living out of tennis!
I love your videos and I think you're a very talented and hard working player. I was hoping this video would be looking at what aspects of your game need to improve to get ATP points. You seem so good I'm shocked when you lose, so it would be good to see videos about how these other guys are better on the day
It just goes to show how competitive the professional tennis scene is, it's not easy to breakthrough and there's so much work involved just to get a single ATP point and also to get into the top 500, top 200 and then crack the top 100. The reality is most of the pros that don't crack the top 500 will hardly be able to make a living in the circuit. It's so competitive out there and everyone is trying to climb the same ladder. It also doesn't help because opponents can get a good idea of your playing style by watching footage, so whilst us viewers really enjoy watching your journey and match play, I can't help but think some competitors might also watch your videos to figure you out before a match.
Seeing how much you put into it, and how hard has been for you to get your first ATP Point. Its insane to picture how the life of an Alcaraz has been. Basically no normal childwood for a guy like that :D
Hi brother..... Playing tennis is very tough....you are giving ur 100%....All the best for ur future tournaments......Hope you will promote to challenger tournamentS very soon...Love from INDIA
I feel serve is one of the main things holding you back. And as you've said before, all the guys at the highest level serve extremely well. Would you consider making a video about your serve (how you train, speed, placement, how many times a week, injury prevention...)? Maybe once the elbow is better recovered. Thanks. We love watching your journey!
am going to make a video on this, of course my injury has hampered my serve progress massivley over the past year , so this is in the books as an upcoming video idea
You are such a wonderful person with so much passion for tennis and you give so much insights. You already near top players and can much of the tennis world. If you get an ATP point it will be awesome but otherwise you are still an excellent player 👌🏻
The people asking these questions are watching the channel like it's a six-episode season of some Netflix show. We should all thank and support Felix. Professional tennis is a serious grind, and his persistence and hard work are inspiring. We're lucky to get a peek inside.
Bro i sense some frustration here. Although your journey hasnt gone as well as alcaraz 😊. You are my inspiration , and i have massive respect for the amount of work and the skills you have. Imma 34 year old regular tennis player 😂
i am just sick of armchair coaches who seem to "know what they are talking about" and to be honest i love that in a way , because now i have people to prove wrong and that is only going to make me work harder

@@tennisbrothersI strongly second that. You have the right attitude and are very thoughtful. The two will take you further than you believe.
Yours could do the same in the US, and you can still share the journey with us thanks to NIL.
seconded
He’s not eligible anymore get over that college bullshit
Lol he didnt answer me
You’ll always have our support 🎾🎾
I have a suggestion for your videos… sometimes the shorter they are the far more appealing they seem. Besides, could you include any tipps on each video for amateur players? I mean, things you think may help us to improve our technique or that seem useful (in the end, for instance).
Love how open you were to everyone Felix and I hope you know that we will support you heavily along this journey
the secret to tennis is you must have a weapon or some sort that you love to "show of" in a good way in court. like you love to play tennis so much because you have a good forehand that you can blast them to win games or a unique backhand, or fast serve etc. anything that you have like even a speedy foot that can run to all balls. you wake up in the morning and eager to play on court because you love that thing that you have that the others are struggling. like maybe you have a good mind game like a chess master etc.
Hey Felix,
You have got what it takes, groundstrokes, volleys, quickness. And most importantly, work ethics.
Keep pushing and eventually xou get your point and more.
Greetings from Austria
thanks phillip
Thank you!
Good luck man .......:)
Hi Felix! Keep up the hard work, you are an inspiration to a lot of young kids who play individual sports 🙂. I really appreciate your channel.
Hope we get to see a week in your training life!
You can do everything Felix! You are the best!🤩😃
This is so useful and interesting! Love it!! Good luck, but you’ve already made it in a sense - you’re good enough to teach professionally as a career or do many other things in tennis, but I think you’re also going to rise up the rankings and do quite alright for yourself as a player.
You’ll get there one day felix!
We're all behind you Felix. You're a fantastic player, we believe in you!😃🎾
Nice to hear Felix, question from me. Is something like being a warm-up tennis player on the side something for you. To learn more about what the pro’s do and get to know the tour a little better. For example like Grisha did from gladiotorstennis.
I can speak for many people when I say we really love watching your journey and wish the best. We are routing for you!
You have been training all your life in Reeds tennis school one of the best in UK, so you have had training
That week in your life would be really helpful thanks Felix!
Below are the minimum levels from what I have seen to get ATP points:
-11.5+ UTR to get 1 ATP point in Africa; 11+ UTR to qualify to main draw
-12+ UTR to get 1 ATP point South America and Asia; 11.5+ to qualify to main draw
-12.5+ UTR to get 1 ATP point in Europe and USA; 12+ UTR to qualify to main draw
Most accurate analysis I have seen! Felix, listen up! Go to Africa!
very true those events are usually easier , however i am not sure whether i want to go to congo for a tournament yet , i think developing my game post surgery is a bit more important, and once that is better then going to those places is the plan
There are many tournaments in Tunisia, Ethiopia and Morocco before there even is a tournament in the scary Congo this summer. Do you really want to get a point or just hype up your channel?
@@tennisbrothers
You are right that "level" is what matters long term...you are young and have a lot of time to improve, so soon you will probably be 12.5 UTR, in the next year or so.
😂 they are not built differen! 🤦🏻♀️ they worked extremely hard period!!!
Tennis is a cruel sport!
imagine being so ignorant to reality you still believe in the myth of talent. please go read one book, to get you started, Peak: by Anderrs Ericcson
Hi Felix,
I was at DL yesterday and saw you guys playing, your doing great and moving solid, keep going.
KEEP GRINDING
I wanted to ask you few questions related to scheduling... for example-
1) How do you manage gym, outdoor fitness and tennis sessions in a way that gives you maximum output while not overusing the body?
Learning to stay in the now is vital and ultimately with practice you’ll be able to lose focus and recover it mid-rally 👍
There are many types so research and find what works for you .
Keep working at it 👍
3) Consider all elements of your game & who you are?
Good Luck 🤞& keep working hard.
Keep striving and at one point you will reach your goal.
Are you eligible to go to college to play tennis, if you decide to switch paths? Not sure how playing professional tournaments affects eligibility
I don't know what to do
Dude you seem like my doppelgänger, YOU ARE MY DOPPELGÄNGER!! So I have literally no idea what to do too…. 😂😅
Best of luck!
thanks nico
I’m sorry about the haters! Shame on them. You keep grinding Felix and keep chasing your dreams 💪
Respect man, go for it!
Good on you, mate! You're gonna be just fine - enjoy the hell out of this time and journey!
When I see you winning your first GS match, I am going to be the guy saying, I knew Felix when he was starting! lol
Thanks for sharing this with us, and that was a great breakdown of the point system for the ATP! Keep on pushing yourself, and enjoy the journey!
You are presently my favorite player in the world, and I have been playing and following tennis since the 1970s. Keep on going! I hope to see you live one day.
appreciate it :) I hope so too
Way to go Felix!
I follow you because of your content , your personality and love the vids! You are doing great and you will be where you want to be ☺️
Good luck! You can do it! Love from the Netherlands
I enjoy watching your journey, I only started playing tennis 3 years ago and love it and train everyday after work and with my son. You can make huge progress in a short period of time. It will happen for you, you will get atp points in singles. Stick at it, perseverance is the secret to success.
appreciate it russ
Keep going Felix!!! We’re here to support you 💪
The most important thing for you is to figure out how to find your stride much earlier in matches.
Cheers.
Felix, don’t give up, all the best for you!!! Always there will be haters but be sure you are on the right path! Thanks for this video
the haters are just insecure about their own games ;)
Keep up the work, mate! It will pay off. See you on tour very soon!!
Good luck Felix I believe that you have what it takes to reach top 10 in the world. Hard work always pays off
Thanks for sharing your journey! Really enjoying the content and wishing you all the best on your path 💪
Hi Felix thanks for all the videos you make i have always dreamed and still dream of becoming a professional tennis player and thanks to you i keep working hard and believing ,thank you💪
Really appreciate what you doing, just keep doing and have fun
If you get an ATP point, then you are going to get such a motivation boost that it could be possible that you achieve the 10pts less then a month after
Good stuff Felix, I've been watching you almost from the beginning and I have faith in you, as I'm sure do most of your followers.
thanks gary
Love you! Keep up the good work, on and of the court!
Lets go Felix! Keep at it brother, enjoy your journey, cuz i am!!
well done, Felix. A difficult video to make and a brave decision to make it! I work hard on my tennis and often ask myself why I am not progressing as fast as Alcaraz or you. I am beginning to come to the conclusion that I am not as naturally gifted as you 🙂
Question: would it be easier to get an ATP point if you played Futures in, say, South America, Africa or Asia? Or are their levels basically the same?
Yeah, it would be a lot easier in places like Tunisia, Egypt etc.
Africa is easier, then Asia , then South America, then Japan.
Great video…love your focus
I wish you all the best on your tennis journey!
Root for you. hope you are enjoying the journey - that's the most important part.
The people asking these questions are watching the channel like it's a six-episode season of some Netflix show. We should all thank and support Felix. Professional tennis is a serious grind, and his persistence and hard work are inspiring. We're lucky to get a peek inside.
Good Luck on your journey!
@@tennisbrothers bro , have your armchair coaches ever come close to an atp point? If not why waste energy on them
