  • Determine the economic generation schedule of three generating units in a power system to meet the system demand of 800 MW using the gradient method.
    The fuel cost functions are given below

    F2=310.0+7.85P2+0.00194P2^2
    F3=78.0+7.97P3+0.00482P3^2
    Assume the starting values for P1^0, P2^0, and P3^0 are 300MW, 200MW and 300 MW, respectively, Take α=100.
