0:36 I am 600 elo and whenever the opponent defense there e5 pawn with the f6 pawn, you need to take the pawn with the Knight (the e5 pawn). And it would be a brilliant move for me whenever I do it, It’s always a brilliant move. If the opponent captures your Knight (with the f6 pawn) put your queen to h5. And it would give a check to the king and you will also attack the e5 pawn. If they block with g7 pawn, take the e5 pawn with your queen. (I will explain later if they move the king.) and you’ll give another check to the king when you take the e5 pawn. And you will fork the king and the rook. If the block with the bishop or queen don’t take it, just take the rook and you’ll be up material. Now I will be explaining if the king moved instead of blocking with the H7 pawn. King goes to E7, take the pawn that’s in e5, you will also give another check. The King will go to F7 (force) And then, after the king moves to F7, move your bishop to c4 another check to the king, and then the king will need to go to g6, (unless they want to lose more material because they can move the pawn to d5 and just lose one point of Material.) after the king moves to g6, put your queen to f5 and well check the black king, The king is forced to go to h6. After the king goes h6, move the d pawn two or one squares. (I recommend going 2 squares.) in case the checkmate fails. Your Bishop will give a check to the king, After that, the black king needs to move the g pawn 2 squares. It is force. And then you need to move the h pawn two squares so this could make the checkmate faster. They can’t take your H pawn because it’s pin to the bishop. Although they could put the bishop to b4. This will give a check to your king, and the best move is to block the check with the c pawn. Black has a illegal king square but instead, they will probably take your c pawn to make the checkmate last longer just take the bishop with your B pawn. You’re up material, but you still need to checkmate the king, it’s very weak and I think the best move is to try to offer a queen trade for black. They will put their queen on F6 Don’t take, and take the pawn on g5. A double check on the king and also a king and queen fork. The king is forced to go to g7. Take the queen with your pawn. Another check to the king. If they take the pawn with to Knight, move your black squared Bishop to h6 and checkmate to the black king, and you win. Almost the same if they move their king to f6, move your black squared Bishop, to a3 they could block with the c pawn but they will lose material. so that is not most likely. So they will move there d pawn to block the check. Your queen got discovered attack since they moved the D pawn. Take the bishop. On c8 and it is checkmate.
Damn, thanks for this full breakdown on the position. I will definitely (not) remember this next time when they make this mistake and punish them 😎 But I'll try 🤣
@@IdiotChess1 it's a fairly common mistake! You are likely to see it again and again. Just remember: F=Fail. Push F pawn to Fail. It opens a direct check from your queen to their king, which can be exploited in many ways
Time to question my sanity again then I guess: 0:36 Ah, Damiano's Defense. It is actually very bad, because you can actually sac the knight for the pawn here: *3. Nxe5 fxe5 4. Qh5+ Ke6* 4...g6 would blunder the rook: 5. Qxe5+ and then whatever black does 6.Qxh8 *5. Qxe5+ Kf7 6. Bc4+ d5* Immediate Kg6 would lead to mate in a couple of moves after 7. Qf5+ Kh6 8. h4 Qe7 9. d3+ g5 10. Bxg5+ Kg7 11. Bxe7 Bxe7 12. Qf7+ Kh6 13. g4 d5 14. g5+ Bxg5 15. hxg5+ Kxg5 16. Qg7+ Kf4 17. Qg3# This is with perfect defense of black. Other moves by black lead to quicker mate. After 6...d5 the bishop covers f5, so Qf5+ isn't possible *7. Bxd5+ Kg6 8. h4 h6 9. Bxb7 Bd6* The bishop can't take back on b7 because he has to cover f5. Now after moving the white Queen to b5 (where it still threatens to go to f5) to save it white wins the rook next move. The moral of the story being: Don't move the f-pawn early, if you don't know what you're doing. There are a couple other variants for black, but none of them are good. The best black can do is not take the knight and be down a pawn (but up the tempo, because white has to move the knight again) 3:14 But they don't have to. Could have taken with the knight 4:47 I agree. Giving up control of d4 is a mistake, because it gives the opponent a nice outpost. 5:22 Sometimes you just need luck to win, even if it comes in the form of a bad internet connection. Wait, or did he abandon the game willingly? Game two: 5:50 I'd prefer to block with the knight, developing and preparing to castle swiftly. 7:01 Oopsie... 7:17 The last remaining bishop locked away is not the best situation for sure. Should have gotten him out of there quicker. 7:37 Well, I guess it is true that the side with the second to last mistake wins.
0:36 Seems little bit complicated right now but at least I have some ideas how to counter this damiano's defense in the future 👍 3:14 Yeah, missed that completely would have been so much better 5:52 Pretty sure his interwebs went out 😂 Happens sometimes. I'd be pissed in that position for sure. Game two: 5:50 Sounds reasonable 7:01 🤣 7:37 Yes, and that can change in my ELO in a matter of seconds...
as a 1600 I must say I enjoyed this a lot! I think you had some solid thought processes, some good tactical oversight and you show lots of potential. I think you're gonna be improving fast!
3:24 Idk if it’s the right move, but I would have played Rd6. Puts pressure on the king and lets you play Rad1 later on. I think the king move was a bit too passive and didn’t really accomplish anything.
4:04 missed the rook takes knight with check
as an even lower than 600 elo player this hurts to watch T-T
that guy is higher elo then me man

my man, there was a knight hanging in thet game for like 2 moves, major strategical oversights and you are worried about a king move?
