Thanks for sharing your build, I'm a little less experienced with the soldering, but you've made it look like if I take my time I should come out fine. Now just waiting for my kit to arrive

Aaaaaaaand now I need a good soldering iron lol. Haven't done any soldering in a while, but I want one of those tiny rigs!

I've got a link to kit.co in the description with a link for the hakko fx-888d that I use. I'm very happy with it.

I still have some more mileage to get out of it. 7/2 we are going to have a live stream rag-chew fanboy session about how cool this radio is, I have some POTA to do and I have an amplifier to build.

Awesome video. Congratulations on the first contact with the mini. I have mine built for 40, and as you pointed out, the final assembly of the case was probably the hardest part to figure out in the whole build.
After some review I see that there is documentation showing how to make a all band Am/FM/SSB version of this kit supplying your own case and a couple of resistors. Also needed would be the 6-160 filter board also offered by Hans. I’m thinking about ordering the filters and making a QRP SSB transceiver shortly.
Any good QRP tuner plans out there?

Thanks! Actually yes, there is a DIY ATU in PCBWay's shared project library that is a good starting point.

@@temporarilyoffline I UA e seen the AT-100 plans before. But… I don’t see plans on building my own… also for portable ops, I was thinking of something a little smaller and possibly a simple mechanical Pi-matching network.

So finally you didn't manage to get 5W out?

I was able to "peak the meter", but I don't know how accurate that meter is, so "best" was the measurement I was shooting for.
