    Thanks for the great golf cart videos! I'm a DIYer with a 2000 Club Car DS that's been modified with an Alltrax controller and D&D Motor Systems motor. OBC was bypassed when the OBC went out. I try to squeeze every ounce of power out of the setup, so the four year-old lead-acid batteries have become unhappy. They need frequent charging and are all bulging. I'm tired of constantly cleaning and maintaining the lead-acid batteries so am switching to lithium. Thanks to your informative video, I chose the Big Battery Eagle kit with two Eagle batteries and all the fixins' for the conversion. Using your coupon code I saved $150!! The total is about the same price as replacing the lead-acid units. Thank you!!

    You Convinced me to hit the Buy It Now button. I Have a 2015 CCar Precedent Lifted 3" 10" wheels, speed magnet, no other modifications stock motor and all. Six 3 year old Trojan 8 volt batteries. Noticing a decline in performance. Charging more frequently and loss of up hill endurance. Great excuse to go Lithium!
    Chatted with BigBattery and they have recommended the 48v Eagle x2 60Ah total kit, they said 2 batteries equaling the same Ah would be better on my cart than one. I run about 5-7 miles every other day and my terrain is hilly. Once they heard Hilly they suggested to go with the 4 battery kit...... I ordered with your discount code Thx, the x2 Battery Kit. If this works than fantastic, if I have to add a 3rd Eagle 30Ah then OK would be the same cost if I had ordered the x3 from the get go..... Here's to hoping I don't need 4 batteries tho!

    I don’t use my cart a lot anymore . I used to use it all the time for hunting and work around my property before I became disabled. I had to replace all 8 batteries just a few years ago for $1300! I put in an Alltrax 500amp controller years before installing my last new battery set.
    I need to replace my batteries yet again and this price is much better than more lead batteries. I live in the south and have to frequently add water more than I have in the past for some reason. I can smell the acid when I go out to my shop to use my cart and I don’t get any range. I used my cart last to help gather pine straw for my flower beds and pulled a lawn sweeper to do so. I didn’t get half of the flower bed filled before I lost power and barely made it back to my shop. So I definitely need new batteries.
    I’ve just found your videos and had no idea these batteries existed at all. My only issue is the install. I’m mechanically inclined so I can do a lot of things but for some reason the golf cart intimidates me. My disability will prevent me from lifting the batteries. Plus I have no way of adjusting the controller because I only have Apple devices and I see you have to have windows to work the Alltrax software.
    My local golf cart guy is shady and the next closest to me is about an hour away. Is there any tips or advice that you could give for the install if I could get help w the lifting etc? Are there instructions that are easy to follow? Thanks.

    Great content 👌. I upgraded my husky 48v 103ah to 2 falcon 72v total 56ah. Running the 5kw navitas ac kit on my 04 ezgo. Loved the mileage I got with the husky but the falcon 72v is another level of performance I was looking for. I get about half the mileage of the husky. But not an issue for me. My cart is bone stock down to the tires. Neighborhood sleeper. It doesn't do wheelies like yours, but it does get the front wheels off the ground a bit, about the same as the husky 48v. I assume it's because of the size tire I'm running? I also noticed that the controller caps out at 200a output on launches, no matter what I set the controller to...

I've selected this same Big Battery setup kit in the App with no other changes in the settings. Nice review! I find this particularly interesting since Navitas recommends a 105AH minimum for that drive system. It looks like you're driving pretty reasonable so this should perform pretty good for the average Joe on flat land (like we have in Florida). Probably not a good choice for a hot rodder.

      105ah is just the capacity rating for distance. This cart has the 5kw 600a system in it running 35 on this video. However if I was running it with a stock setup or with the system turned down then Im sure I could've gotten more distance.

    I was just quoted at 1400 bux canadian for a 2kw battery running 60volts from a person in ontario canada i can hook you up with if interested.
    He is able to wire up any battery configuration to a proper safety spec, and his cells are brand new and not factory 2nds, and are of a brand better than what tesla uses even.
    800 bux for a 1kw at 60volts also, and that would probably be less if 48volt setup, unless you want to entirely end range anxiety. I want 2kw because i am using a Jinma J2 micro slow moving electric car.

    Hey Ryan...Question: I have a stock Yamaha G29 (new) controller with a stock motor. Do you think 1-48v Falcon Elite battery can get 20mls on a charge with 4 grown adults and soundbar on AND without tripping the BMS? Thank you....

    Ryan are you sure that one falcon elite is ok for a modified cart, bigger tires and wheels, with a 400amp navitas. Big batteries website say it’s intended for stock carts. I was interested until I read this. What’s your opinion I assume it’s one elite is fine? Maybe two eagles with everything included is better idk.. hate to drop that money and be short a battery. What do you think? Any help appreciated and thanks for your videos nice job.

    • @Fentertainment
      @Fentertainment  Год назад

      Well If you watched the video I used one falcon elite in this cart for the video. This cart has the basic 6" lift 23" tires with a navitas ac system. I ran this cart 35mph for 20 miles on one battery. I've got 2 of these batteries but I wanted to see what the range one would achieve. This one battery is rated at 360 amps for 5 seconds and 150a continuous. This one battery amperage output is still more than the eagles and one of these is equivalent as 2 eagles ah. I also show you how to save more money on this system. But the great thing about big battery is if you need more range in the future, Just pick up another battery and drop it in. Its like having more fuel in the tank. I have the amperage on my navitas ac set to 200a max. I usually run mine between 180-200, The higher you go with it the faster it will reach the top speed. Remember though, if you hammer the gas pedal in your vehicle to get to speed quicker you are just burning more fuel, The same principle applies to this except you loose range.

    • @jasonwatts1921
      @jasonwatts1921 Год назад

      Thank you for the reply I appreciate the info. The web site just threw me off when they said not recommended for modified carts but like you said if you drive it like a stock cart on lower amp setting I should be good. I know you get tired of repeating yourself but I appreciate the response for the followers that can’t get right!

The voltage meter on the battery was flashing between 54 volts and 58/59 volts so I unplugged the charger and then it read 54.3 volts. I was worried because I know you're not supposed to charge the falcon elite over 58.8 volts. I have the big battery PW003 charger. How do I know when the battery is fully charged? Hope you can help!

      Standard lithium iron phosphate batteries charge around 58.7v. Once the battery is fully charged it will be around 53-54v. Nothing wrong at all. The bms in the battery will tell the charger once its done.

      The badgers have a voltage range of 36.6 - 50.4. The falcons voltage range is 58-43. The lower numbers is the lower voltage cut off. I feel like the falcons and eagles are true battery replacements for 48v carts. The ah rating isn’t as high on the falcons and eagles as they are on the badgers.
