As a Romani person. It’s not that big of a deal when it comes to skin color, there’s pale Romani people. Net ease didn’t white wash her themselves, this issue comes with Marvel & Disney. Fabricating a race so you could avoid using the original is wrong. It’s less of a skin color thing and more of a culture erasure while keeping the motifs, such as the Sokovian fortune teller thing. The mcu has done this many other times tho, erasing specifically Romani roots. Lilia Calderu is a Romani character whose aesthetic is rooted in Romani culture, but they washed her into a Sicilian. They’ll no doubt do it to Dr doom in the MCU as well. On a sidenote. The hair in this skin doesn’t glow or change like the original skin.
Why are you mad about it? It’s a skin from MCU and the actress in MCU is white. The original skin reflects her skin color from the comics. MCU is what made her character more popular than ever. In MCU she’s from Sokovia a made up country in Europe. In the comics she’s Romani, and stop the bullshit about skin color, as Romani can have any skin color, just as “Latinos” not all of us are tan or have darker skin.
@@MGabBellYes, Romani people can be a variety of shades, however there was a comic where Wanda talked about facing discrimination for being darker skinned compared to others. So it is important to some people to look at that aspect. I personally don’t mind the MCU version at all, but I understand people who feel some type of way when you tell them to deal with it and that the character is only popular because a white actress played her.
isn’t the mcu version a different version of her?? Everything about her has changed; her hair, her skin, her main outfit.. etc. it’s not like they’ve chose the comic specific one and made her white. Everything about her is different. Can we not just love wanda tho? Like, she’s a badass character from the mcu and the comics and both versions are genuinely awesome. It would’ve been nice to see her with her original skin colour though with the mcu. Getting mad over them adding a costume portraying wanda as a different popular version of her (which btw, you have to optionally pay for and it’s NOT the main version of her in game) is just not right? As I said, I don’t mind MCU Wanda and I think Elizabeth Olsen portrays her excellently. I’m merely pointing out that I can see why people might feel a little upset about it. Am I personally upset? No, not really. Never said I was either. But I can see others point of view. Some people feel more strongly about subjects that others find trivial, so I don’t write people off, even if the issue doesn’t necessarily bother me.

Her fingers are dark not because she is sapping any energy but because she is using the darkhold which contains the darkest magics.
