Wow, this was just a super disappointing end to a hard fought game. It's only the difference of 1 point for us, but it's the fact that we gave Houston 3 that hurts the most. Just one bad play at the end of the game; it can change a season. Let's not be too harsh on ourselves though, pick it up and stay focused for the next one. LAFC next Saturday afternoon. It's gonna be tough, but we're ready to bring the energy! Go Rapids❤💙
That last goal was absolutely ridiculous. Maxso broke his freaking nose on that elbow to the face. PAY THE REAL REFS!!!!
If those were the highlights, that was easily the worst game so far this MLS season. What a torture! Both teams will finish near the bottom.
I believe the refs let this game get out of hand. There should’ve been a lot more calls that would’ve molded this game better instead of letting it get the way it did.
I agree that this game was hard to watch. However, don’t forget the the Houston Dynamo made it to the MLS cup semis where we were knocked out by LAFC last season. We also won the US Open Cup last season. At this rate we are actually slightly ahead of where we were early last season. Don’t underestimate Houston, a lot of our wins are grindy and ugly but I think we have a good chance this season too.

Is it me, or is the atmosphere lacking in comparison to other MLS stadiums? If I’m Garber, I take a hard look at the long term viability of the Rapids in Colorado.
Well this is the Colorado Rapids and even though they are one of the original MLS teams. The team doesn't have a rich history of winning and have been bottom dwellers in the Western Conference the last couple of seasons.
Yeah and the team also lacks a bit of star power :/ I’m a dynamo fan and we also lack star power but our stadiums here in Houston are parties every time.
Colorado is not good they should be relegated in my opinion
The fans in the standing section are shy and don't want to embarras themselves by supporting their team
Hello Rapids fan here. First off, please don’t say that or my heart will break into a million pieces. Second, our team has been absolute trash since 2021 and we can’t stand it anymore. Third, our ownership doesn’t give a dang about the rapids because they own the LA rams, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Nuggets, and freaking Arsenal. Fourth, the rapids have done an abysmal job of promoting the team in Colorado, I know people that had no clue we even had a soccer team. Finally, our supporter section is a bit disjointed, I’m a season ticket member there, and the drum line and the chant leaders keep splitting off in direction. The drum line likes all the Hispanic chants,which is ok, but when a large portion of people don’t know Spanish, and they do them on repeat, it really kills the vibe. We’ve got great supporters here in Colorado, we just can’t get our act together.

How does the game extend another 4-5 minutes after the final goal? Sheesh
Refs ultimately have the final say when the game is done. After that harsh elbow on maxi refs probably let the game go on to even out the time…. Or they were paid ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They took time to review the goal on VAR for a possible foul from Houston. But still they did over extend the match.

Dynamo literally had the SAME EXACT thing happen a few minutes before that - Raines was injured and the ref didn't blow stoppage. So fair play ALLLLLLL around here. Rapids kept trying to score as well. In fact, the Dynamo had to kick the ball out to stop play because Raines was injured and was required to be subbed out. Rapids fans are just mad
From the highlights, this game was so trash. Apart from this, and even knowing the lack of quality they have, the Rapids deserved at least the tie. Very harsh to lose a game and 3 points like this. And the trend of Houston getting points without knowing how, is already a MLS classic!

This replay is trash. Doesn't show the head injury that lead to the fast break goal. Play should have been stopped. What is VAR for?
Much like it should have been stopped several minutes before when a player on the other team was injured? Oh wait, it wasn’t.
Both teams had the opportunity to capitalize and only one did.
