Wow! I wish I saw that Video Review... Whoever decided to cut that has got to start taking into consideration the people who can't afford to pay to watch the games, sorry, but the reason I am watching a recap is because I dont already know what happened. My apologies for thinking that the highlights would fill me in on what happened... I had no clue that they changed the rule about Var being able to give 2nd yellows when a call was not made on the field. I can't engage in disscussions in the comment section because I have no context on what actually happened. Why bother posting if you are going to leave large gaps in major points of the game?
VAR doesn't recommend reviews for second cautions - it recommended a review for a penalty kick. Since the PK involved holding, the referee also gave a caution, which just happened to be the defender's second. You can see the hold at 5:06 - the defender grabs the attacker around the waist just to the right of the penalty spot.
The people who put together the highlights are the same ones who want you to pay for MLS season pass or appleTV.

Hmm.. I didn't see anything in the highlights that was incorrect, and FIFA would tend to disagree with you, since Freemon's on the International Referee list (thus his white badge). This is his 5th year refereeing in MLS,
@@johnmcgimpsey1825 there are several international referees that are embarassing as fifa wants to improve every federation giving them one slot. Don't make me fool, please. To show a yellow card to one player already booked for that, it's ridiculous... referees have to manage yellow cards with smartness.

The white badge isn’t given as a gift or an incentive. As for the caution, Delaying the Restart is an MLS Point of Emphasis this year, teams and players were told about it, and it’s been given as a 2nd caution before in games, so players are on notice that the league wants it to stop. It was a dumb thing to do.

DC stadium even looks boring on broadcast. They made a new home and some how made it worse than before
I've been there plenty of times. The stadium isn't bad it's just that DC United has been either sucking or stuck in mediocrity. That fans just aren't showing up in numbers like they were when it opened.
@@randogg7815yeah it’s definitely not the stadium that’s the problem. I was there for the match against Pumas last summer, and the Pumas fans made sure to keep the place loud and bumping all match lol. It’s the team and fans, the stadium is actually quite nice
I’ve been there as well a few times, since I live in VA it’s the closest MLS team. I say the stadium feels too generic, but it is most certainly nice. I can’t deny that, just isn’t as interesting of a destination in my opinion.
That being said your points are spot on, good team would bring more energy and excitement regardless.
@pruett89 well both DC United and the Nationals wanted to keep their teams in the city. So that's why they are located in the SW Waterfront area which has been and continue to be revitalize.

That was a terrible "highlight package" - not even showing the proper timeline of events.. no disallowed goal, or even showing the Gomis "infraction" which could of been called 3-4 different times on different players throughout that match.. Thank goodness this is North America footy, and the regular season means very, very little..

Dont boot a ball across the stadium like a dummy after the whistle has already been blown. Thats textbook delaying a restart and a yellow card. Especially when youre already on a yellow. Bernadeschi's letting his emotions get in the way of his skill and its hurting his team. Hes been sent off multiple times this season all in large part due to his inability to keep his cool. Toronto cant stop getting in the way of themselves.
Hmm... kicking the ball away has been a point of emphasis all season. Maybe TFC should find players with the emotional intelligence to be aware that they're already on a yellow and not do something stupid. And the send off was the ONLY reason for the loss? Not the missed shots? Not the holding in the Penalty Area?

We really need a new left back. Dajome isn't cutting it and Pedro Santos' marking and positioning is atrocious. Very slow player and poor in defensive transition... Looks well past it. At fault for both goals DC conceded as he gave Bernadeschi loads of space all night. We only started playing after his substitution.
