Wow! Just discovered your channel, and you have great footage/camera skills! I live in Lake Orion so I enjoy watching DTW spotting videos. My uncle is actually a Captain at Delta and I was able to do a walk around of the A350 (3510, pictured at 2:45) as well as sit in the cockpit! Very cool experience and a wonderful aircraft.
Delta A350's are one beautiful plane and pretty quiet with those new Trents. Oh and its crazy how many 737-700's Southwest has, I think they have 500 or so, you see them at every airport almost.
This is the 1st time I have watched your video. I have not watched any plane spotting videos for a while but this video is the BEST plane spotting video I have ever watched. Your documentation also with plane age as well as destination with flight time is so clearly displayed. AMAZING Beautiful work ........ enjoyed greatly ...... Thanks
Okay, this is my home airport and I've probably taken off from this runway more times than I can count. Where do you set up to get these videos? The top level of the McNamara parking garage? Anyway, well done! Great footage and captions! Thanks.
Unfortunately the 777 is kinda the oddball in the Delta fleet. They only have 18 of them so they’re one of the smallest fleets for them. Right now it makes the most financial sense for them to keep the 767s and A330s since there are more of them and it’s easier to fill them vs the 777. Plus it’ll be cheaper to retrain the relatively small 777 crews vs the larger 767 and A330 crews.
@@LeppAviation And with the 18 of them, its really 2 very different sub fleets with the ER being the only 8 aircraft in the fleet using the RR Trent 800 and the LR being the only 10 A/c in the fleet using the GE90. It is a lot better logistically keeping aircraft that use the PW4000 such as the A330 or 767. There are 110+ a/c in the Delta fleet that a spare PW4000 engine can go on vs the 8 a Trent 800 can. As far as the 767 goes, it may be older but it is a small widebody and fills a unique operating gap for some international routes that dont have the demand to fill a larger plane such as the 330-300 or 350
Marc C. My guess would be that aircraft often land on the runways further away from the parking garage. On a warm day, this will introduce a lot of heat distortion into the shot, making it less visually appealing. There are a couple landings at 9:21 though!
I was on Delta 859 at 19:13 going to MSP! I was operating the MSP-CWA route that night. Thanks for the great video.
Nice to be technically in a video
Sloop - Yes, and very cool to see the takeoff from the outside too.
the A350 is probably one of the most beautiful looking planes out there in my opinion

Awesome videos. Do you, or anyone else, ever film at Ohio airport's, such as Akron Canton, Cleveland Hopkins, or Columbus?
Gary Fyock I have tons of videos from Columbus and a few from Cleveland! Haven't gone to Akron yet...maybe once air travel has returned 100% I will!

How come you don't show landings?

Flew delta airlines
17:47 I thought Donald Trump put a travel ban between United States and Europe?
Some Transatlantic flights are allowed only to certain airports. The ban is being lifted early next month I believe.
The bans are on people, not actual flights.
Airlines can still operate them, mainly for cargo
Where are you spotting from?
