"Everything I've done, I've done for you. I move the stars for no one."
Fun Fact: One of the choreographers for this movie was Cheryl McFadden. You and everyone else knows her better as Gates McFadden, Dr. Beverly Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987).
Dancing Hands Fact: The "Dance Magic" scene consisted of over forty-eight muppets, fifty-two puppeteers, and eight people in goblin costumes. Over one hundred pairs of latex hands were made for the "Helping Hands" scene.
Jareth's Balls Fact: The various things that Jareth does with the crystal balls (rolling them around his arms and in his hands and so forth) are not camera tricks or any other kind of special effect. They are actually done by choreographer Michael Moschen, who is an accomplished juggler. Moschen was actually crouched behind David Bowie with his arm(s) replacing Bowie's. Unlike a typical Muppet performance, however, he had no video screen to view his performance. In other words, his manipulations were performed completely blind.

One subtle thing that as context is in her photos of her mother in her room - the mothers boyfriend is David Bowie.

Toby was actually completely unbothered by the goblins. They had to wait until he was tired and wanted a nap to make him cry or act upset.
Yoda was a Jim Henson's Creature Shop Muppet. Everything Sarah encounters in the Labyrinth is inspired by something in her bedroom.
Jennifer's dress, hair and make-up in the dream are amazing.

This is one of my all time favorites. David Bowie, muppets, and Escher. PERFECT!
Apparently it was hard for them to get the baby crying in the "Voodoo" scene. Mostly the kid loved it. At least that is what I have heard.
One time a good friend (at one point briefly girlfriend but always friend) and I wanted a movie night. So we rented three movies: Labyrinth...Hellraiser 2...and Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Totally different movies. As we watched the third one we realize we had unconsciously chosen three movies about labyrinths. We realized at the same time...and wondered what it meant about our brains.

There is a 'making of...' documentary called 'Into the Labyrinth'. Which explains many things.

It’s a shame you didn’t like the fire gang scene, it’s by far my favorite. The song is so catchy and fun, I love their designs and I thought the idea of them coming apart was genius! Sure the green screen is noticeable, but you gotta admit it’s quite impressive for the time. Also if that scene never happened, Sarah would have never went to the bogg of stench and met sir didumis and catch up with Ludo.

Jim Henson, David Bowie, George Lucas, AND, Monty Python alumnus Terry Jones on the screenplay. One fun movie, that always gives me a good laugh or three😂

I saw this @ 11! The puppets make it fun rather than too scary!
