Awesome tutorial Sam! Please, please keep on making more tutorials, especially on 2D character animations or looping GIFs. It's so helpful to someone like myself who is learning motion graphics on my own. I think detailed, well explained tutorials like yours are very rare. Most tutorials are either super advanced or super beginner, and most spend so much time on very simple things like hotkeys while skipping hard-to-understand concepts. I like how you talked us through your workflow, explaining what you are doing and why you did those things. Again, super well-done and thank you.
hi! this is such a great tutorial, i have a question, what keyboard shortcut did you use to bring the shape layer into the middle of the composition? thanks in advance!
hi there! i have a question, i am not sure why this is happening but i hope u can help me figure this out. i am at around 16:10 of the tutorial where u add a leg layer to the foot and u stretch the leg out to the foot. but when i want to do the same, it wont stretch it, it will just move the entire leg instead of the lower point i am trying to click and move.
never mind, i fixed it. all i needed to do was just select the path 1 line (not path keyframe line) in order to be able to move a specific point in the shape :)
Mmmm lost it when I got to the foot bit, not sure if I missed something along the way? When I move the foot each time it stays in the same position when I try to animate it.
@@samueljamespillar I will probably start again. I got the head and body to bob up and down. It's just when I'm moving the foot it either rotates or moves in one direction haha I must of hit something.
Thank you for your mentoring! It's a great example for my coursework.
THANK GOD !!!! Finally THE tutorial I ve been searching for ! thank you so much kind Stranger !
Always good in 2023 ! Thanks :D
Thank you too!

Thank you for this tutorial! I needed this for my personal work hehe ❤
I'm curious why you don't use tools like Duik or Rubberhose to rig your character. I've heard it animates faster.
Niek ten Hagen definitely animates faster. Just wanted to make the tutorial accessible to everyone
Thank you for this tutorial!

How do you calculate to start from the tenth frame and end at the 26?
