grab metallic ball sprites online and make a custom LMMS theme replacing the buttons for metallic circles if that what makes you tick.

@aquents the amen break is 120bpm, and jungle starts at 160. That's almost 1.5x speed. Please research more.

Those samples are so good since they include all those little details and subrhythms, it's not just one dry hit. Would be incredibly fun to work with samples like that as they instantly sound good. I don't know where to find such samples since the ones I have are just one shots so no really any cohesion..
Go sample some music yourself!
look up drum breaks and use them instead of one shots, chop em like a sample!

There's a big free amen and other break sample pack. You have the brwak itselfin different versions, also chopped or put through varioud fx. If you want the link then say so, i'll see if I can find it.

Yeah, two custom pcbs and some really basic code, could knock this out in a week not counting shipping time.
@@tissuepaper9962 you could do it in less than an hour easily. make an array of bits, detect all triggered variables along the column axis and play the respective sounds according to their row then repeat with the next column and loop, also a few extra lines for the backwards thing.
@@babyybatter yeah but fuck an Arduino, not close enough to the silicon for me. I want an STM32 F-series microcontroller to handle everything, then I can do all the DMA myself to prevent the audible popping and clicking that I'm absolutely certain would arise from using Arduino's filesystem code and DAC.

holy shit the top row reversal. thing looks super fun.
Novation's "Cirquit"-line of grooveboxes has a very similair feature. You can make a sequence, then change first and last step and also set it to play it forwards, backwards, ping-pong (like this one) or random.
I don't know if they have the same feature on the "launchpad" (a grid-based midi controller for computer) but I wouldn't be surprised, since they come from the same developer.
