Staples hyken office chair. Best $150 and most comfortable office or gaming chair I have used by far! Wider seat, wear shirtless without discomfort, not much on the downsides except wheels and the armrest does not move as much as the 3d armrests you see in this video. But for that price difference I don't mind it one bit.
Funny you had this review, Just this morning, "release of this video," I bought the XL-RS Simulator Seat for my DOF reality H3 motion simulator. Been waiting for months for them to get there racing seats in for Canada. I am so psyched for this racing seat. The seat I have been using since I got my motion simulator is to small and kills my back. My computer chair on the other hand is a KCREAM (9118-Black) witch is the most comfortable seat I have ever owned for computer chairs. Its Huge and is for the Big and Tall accept i'm 5'7 230lbs. Its perfect and bought it November 2020. The use of the chair gets about 10 to 16 hours a day everyday since 2020.
I would LOVE to try a simulator seat. I tried one at a VR arcade but I swear it was for children! I couldn't even brake because my knee would hit this bar so it was WOT or Downshifting was my two speeds lol. I looked up your office chair, looks comfy and they right price unlike the $600!!!! Office chair we tried out in today's video!
Just went to the website and they appear to be on sale for $400.00. Not sure I would spend even that much. Looking through the specs it said nothing about fart functionality.
the adjustability is very similar to my secret labs titan XL on the armrests. Nice! if they made these bigger I was looking between the DX racer, razer iskur, and the secret labs titan XL. the only one with big enough base for someone my size. I really miss being able to rock back in my chair. if I leave this one unlocked though it just falls back and that doesnt matter how tight the tension is.
@@jaybratt It was like this for me day one but my kid and friend can't even get it to rock. I think it's just me. I had a cheapo fatass Amazon chair I got from work because the back is split. I actually have to make it rock back and the tension feels good on it. But I've replaced the piston 3 times the base once and wheels 3 times now. I'm just a giant person I think. I got the chair first of the year cause I really needed a new chair since I work from home and so far so good. I just feel the rocking tension is super weak for a xl large chair especially.

I've heard SecretLabs is AWESOME but I've just never had a chance to work with them :( I rocked an AKRacing for my first few years. Then bounced between some random chairs I really liked some, and others were AWFUL: ( ruclips.net/video/XCRvvVgsmPA/видео.html ) but I still haven't been able to find a chair I like better than this one and I've tried a lot. The plastic frame feels strangely good around my sides (loves handles lol) and feels like it supports my lower back really well that way. The only pinch point I still have is the two booty edges but I've edited for multiple hours in a row in this chair and no other chair have I stayed as comfy/supported as this one.
Hey Jared! My wife (5'1") me (5'10") and editor Jon (6'0") all tried it and were super comfortable. Torso lengths aren't always the same but I think if you were over 6'3" the neck pad might be too low for you though.
Great honest review again Jay! I usually don’t use a chair and if I do, I use my recliner, couch or my very old and comfy office chair! I can see why you and others would like and want this but for me, it’s just an expensive chair! I’ll use that money for games and upgrades to my PC and Quest. OR, maybe a new headset! You could get 2-3 Quests for this price so yeah the chair is SUPER expensive. It is really nice though, I could see some people springing for the cost with that. People say Secret Labs is really nice too. I hope to check one of those out some day.
I really like the support. It's enough to keep me upright but not too much to hurt me. You can remove the bar from the back that is pushing if necessary but I know if you get an ergonomic chair when you haven't had one it can leave you sore for a week or two until the muscles correct and you sit up straighter.
I just got the chair sitting on it for a day started to feel pain in my thighs where my butt is the left and right sides are really hard it hurts my thighs a lot idk what to do but the chair itself is very comfortable that’s my only issue the sides of it very hard
Yeah I mentioned that was one issue. I have a lot of umm padding in the rear so I haven't had a lasting issue with it but I was concerned the plastic in the back is a bit narrow ☹️ I worry it may cause you to slouch to avoid that zone which would defeat the purpose of all the support. You think you might exchange it or try it out for a while to see if you get used to it?

You could get a pad for the chair but you shouldn't have to do that with a $500 chair. Mavix and Secretlabs people tell me are both really great for chairs. Maybe exchange and try one of those?
Do you foresee any issues for someone like me that is 6'2, 180lbs? Just wondering if being at their "height limit" would cause any issues. I just bought a Corsair T3 Rush, but I'm not entirely sold on the racecar/bucket seat style for gaming chairs. The Air definitely caught my eye. So I'm trying to justify if it is worth it to take back my T3 and spring for this, especially with it being $100 off right now.
I read a review from someone who is 6'2" saying they felt like they were at it's height limit. Torso length is more important than actual height though as some people are all legs. The review said they took just didn't attach the pillow guard that comes with it so they could get the pillow at the right height. (The pillow guard is just this little piece of plastic that clips on so you can't lift the pillow up so high it comes off. It's not necessary but I have mine installed as I don't need it any higher.)
Not sure if I’m too late but I’m a 6’5 skinny guy with back issues. I’ll tell you first that from a height perspective, it can greatly depend on torso vs leg length, I’m much longer in the torso and I found that the provided headrest lacked enough adjustability and I had to stop using it; instead I use my old racing chairs head pillow and it works fine. The lumbar support bracket kinda digs into my spine after a while so I ended up taking it off entirely and often times will put a pillow behind me instead. Also I feel as though for my height, the chair needs to be raised higher off the ground than it’s capable of. Someone who has really long legs will likely also feel this way. From a weight perspective you should be good unless you have really broad shoulders or are super jacked, as depending on where your shoulders are the seat may kinda force you into a weird position. That said, this has been a much better experience than most of the other pleather racing chairs I’ve used as it doesn’t hold any heat, the cushion is very comfortable, and there is a LOT of customizability options for me depending on how much pain I may be in that day.
Sorry to hear that! There's a lot of junk out there for sure. I've checked out a lot of chairs now and some are good, and some that cost more are awful, price is a small factor we're seeing.
I'll get the Herman Miller Vantum for $995 with a 12 year warranty on everything before I buy this DX Racer for $500. My other DX Racer chair is peeling so much onions will be put to shame. 😔

Good chairs are so expensive. For me, the shape of the plastic back, on this chair, is a deal breaker. It forces your arms into a single position and it would be uncomfortable to have them in any other position.
I feel like I could've shown that off a bit better. Those shoulder braces don't come in too far like other chairs I've tried. I can even comfortable interlock my fingers behind my head and lean back so they're not as restrictive as most.
Those racer wings at your shoulders are no bueno dude. That is not good for your back/shoulders/posture. I like their move to mesh, as I'll never go back to plu, but those wings that are on a lot of racer/gamer chairs, are no good for your shoulders, long term.
I really like the mesh too and I've heard about the wings being bad for posture. I should've mentioned in this one they don't push on my shoulders at all at rest... but it could be different for some people... especially because I'm built a little different: mild scoliosis :(
Did you have a bad experience with one? I'd love to hear about it if so. I've had mine since this video and I can't find a chair that can even come close to it for me. I even just got a $900 ergonomic chair in and I still prefer this one by a longshot! I do have kind of a weird back though so really ergonomic chairs are not the most comfortable thing to me haha

I'm interested in Secret Labs.... I've heard good things. Can you no longer adjust the tension for the rocker on it? Or it's just too weak?

You can detach it. You just have to take that clip off I put in to stabilize it.

500 is too much for a chair for most people, try comparing this to the staples hyken ($200)
