    We're almost half way through the year and I have a month break coming up, if I was to make Size Comparison 2018, what would you like to see:
    Done differently?
    Added in?
    Taken out (Possible errors I missed)?
    Or alternatively, would you like to see a different kind of video for new years? Leave some thoughts below, I always end up making a list of all suggestions!
    Also since I am replacing the pinned comment with the songs, I'll list them below again here:
    Four songs, four AWESOME composers, give their channels a visit and subscribe if you like their work!

    with out a doubt this video deserves an incredible amount of praise and congratulations. the shear amount of facts inserted for each object. Not to mention the objects chosen for this list is nothing short of brilliance. Especially in the start, I thought of myself being up to par for science and astronomy I knew I didn't know everything but this showed me I know a lot less than I could have ever of understood. Some of these space vids or science in general are extremely corny and just repeated. seems like most videos are made of a collection of numerous other videos smashed together to appear 100% genuine. this one without a doubt takes first place the fact that whoever is responsible for this should be elated. one last thing sometimes videos such as this one could either hit or miss when it comes to music and commentary. The choice you made not using your words in trying to explain . at least if people don't know of any of the first ones they can google it easier when it comes down to something confusing . so Excellent job on this it's rare to come across something so entertaining and 100% pure and real. thank you it actually showed me a plethora of new facts and terms I would have ultimately never learned. be proud of this cuz so many people you don't know are proud of it. it's fucking awesome exclude my curse word haha JK really realllllly great video. keep up the uniqueness it's going a long way!!!!!!!!

      It really does seem like a random set of numbers and letters, lol. Although it really tells us about who found the object/what "catalogue" it's organized into. In this case it's SDSS, or Sloan Digital Sky Survey. The following numbers denote the location of the object on the sky in arcseconds etc.

      The problem is that we just don't know 100% (yet). But yeah, the Milky Way alone has billions of stars, most of them with planets. And the observable Universe has billions of galaxies and who knows what lies beyond that. The chance that life exists outside earth is way bigger than that it doesn't even if we look at it purely mathematically.

You’d have to seriously alter the genetic makeup of a person in order to live to as long as the example you gave.

Everytime something horrible happens in this world i just have to think of how big the universe and all is, and so i realize, whatever horrible thing happen here on our little speck of matter that we call earth, doesnt really matter at all when it all comes around. We are just to insignificant to matter. :)

    Its a very strange feeling one gets when realizing just how small they really are, Its even stranger when one feels so small they cannot comprehend such a feeling. Just think for a minute of how small each of us are, how little our lives are, and what we will miss when we have passed. It just might be the most saddening feeling Ive ever felt. Whats just a bit for upsetting is that Ive not yet started driving yet but I already understand this ultimate truth of life. Its all spectacular however, as distracting as it may be from death, space and my demise are the only thoughts that creep into my head. I just want to know what happens next for human kind. What might I miss when the year of my end comes rolling in? Doesnt anyone else share these thoughts?.

    • @kapii86
      @kapii86 7 лет назад +15

      Look, I realize its a scary thing, space is. We all just freak out a little bit when we hear about it. Just take a little scroll and a glance throught the first 20 comments about this video! Its all fear or disbelief. I obviously feel the same. Honestly, I dont like it. How much we all know, how well I understand, and what I dont yet know. When one understands that existence will inevitably end at some future date, that is when one truly loses the most life... not in death, but in deep concerned thoughts.

    • @kapii86
      @kapii86 7 лет назад +7

      That is all I will leave everyone with, because I dont want to further sadden anyone or myself.I dont mean to sound depressing but I really am just scared for the future. Be it a day or a decade, I will be upset in every last beating second that I will eventually die. If anyone can help me cope thatd be appreciated. If anyone else is upset please feel free to talk to me, maybe well have something in common although Im just a 16 year old boy.

      xxx_ billy_xxx Even though the universe is so huge and scary and we're microscopic compared to it doesn't mean that our lives don't have to mean anything. And yes we won't get to live to see the day mankind figures out the secrets of the universe, if we ever do which I highly doubt. I don't know if you believe in a creator or not but what helps me cope with what you're feeling is knowing that God has created the vast universe and all of us for a purpose, and knowing that helps me realize that someday when I die and meet him I can ask him about the reason for his creations and many other secrets about the universe. That's just coming from a religious point of view though... Idk if you believe in God or not but in my opinion it's hard to believe that this vast universe and all of its beautiful creations was just randomly brought up and that our lives don't mean anything. Our lives have to be meaningful and have to have a purpose being here. We're destined to be brought to this existence and uncover what's our purpose of living.

    So the observable Universe is 93 Billion light years across right? That’s about 9,450,000,000,000 Kilometres per light year, and scientists estimate the true size of the universe to be about 160 *SEXTILLION* Times bigger than what is currently observable, keep in mind that that number has 22 digits, and the universe could quite possibly still be growing. Try to comprehend that.

Humans sin, and feel the need to blame God. If anything, religion is amazing. Religion does not cause wars. Humans do.

He's a christian and he believes that the Earth is only 6000 years old, and he believes that dinosaurs are still alive because of some pictures that he found in the internet, and some of them are only virtual images. Like what the fuck?! And worst of all, he is abusive, manipulative, and insults me and some of my other classmates. And if he believes that the earth is fucking flat, I would transfer immediately to another school. He is the worst person that I have ever met.

    Imagine living on a planet in a nebula. Let's forget the odds of a habitable world occuring in a nebula, for a moment. But the sky would be so beautiful. And since the light from the nebula would most likely keep the planet at least in dim light during the night, organisms would probably evolve with very bad sight in dark environments.
    Too bad I'll be long dead before any of these would be discovered, let alone colonized.

    • @ignemuton5500
      @ignemuton5500 7 лет назад

      actually, the sky wouldn't any different than they look here, they might have a tiny tint in red/blue color but other than that it would look the same, we might be inside one, we can't really know, sorry to bust the party though.

    • @STR33TSofJUST1C3
      @STR33TSofJUST1C3 7 лет назад

      But it'd never be completely dark on such planets, right? The light from the main star would bounce off of those dust particles of the nebula, radiating this foggy hue we all know.
      I know during the day the sky would look the same as ours (assuming the atmospheric contents are similar).

      +ks90e Yes, I'm well aware that much of what we observe about space; meaning black holes, and the relativistic jets of quasars and blazars and the like are purely theoretical in nature. Even the substance of pulsars, neutron stars and regular stars themselves can be argued by those who subscribe to the "Electric Universe" Theory. I tend to think that everything is conjecture until it is observed directly or mathematically certain. I just happened to think this nigga's video was fucking epic. It was fun to watch.
