I tried to outsmart them once not too long ago. The trick they used on me was to first confirm the items were in my inventory with a trade. Then once you show the items, they put up the lure items into the trade window and ask you to remove your items. If you click without thinking, there is a good chance you will fall for it. They will tell you to remove your items and wait for you to start clicking. Then they cancel the trade window and hope you click outside of the bank as you’re removing your items. They almost always take you to a tiny bank with a small safe area so that no matter how your camera is positioned, you are highly likely to click outside of the safe area once they cancel the trade window. They also initiate the trade 1 tick away from the danger zone so that any misclick will give you basically zero chance to react to. I have a feeling this is what they were attempting on you by taking you to the tiny banks like canifis, Corsair cove, mos le harmless, etc.
Honestly, I wouldn't even call this luring. It's more like anti-anti-luring. The lure is completely obvious and they don't try to hide it. They have a max account sitting outside the bank in PK gear waiting to snipe you the second you step out with expensive gear on. Anyone looking at their screen would see that acc and realize it's waiting to kill them. The trick is that they make you think you can outsmart them but really they are never in any risk at all. They layer the con with multiple, well-known tricks like scepter scamming, animation stalling, etc. They keep your attention on those aspects but the real trick is just to simply cancel the trade window when you're least expecting it.
Another aspect of the lure, which I think is also what they were doing here, is to waste your time. You have to remember that you might potentially make 30m but they might potentially make 1b. Your time is much worse spent trying to anti-lure them compared to their time spent potentially making a bil. Everyone trying to anti-lure them starts off thinking that they will be very precise, very careful. After they run you to 30 banks and waste an hour of your time, you become much less patient and they keep you thinking that you will get the 30m soon.
Even the accounts that login to warn you that you're being lured ARE PART OF THE CON. These accounts don't go around hopping on pvp worlds trying to do a public service. It's to make the lurer "worry" about being exposed so they run you to a different bank thereby wasting more of your time. They layer all these events in the lure to waste your time--again the lure is obvious and they aren't trying to hide it. They aren't banking on the fact that their victims are oblivious to luring, they are banking on the fact that you think you can outsmart them.

The guy on the call is saying tell me the location and send a ss of where they dropped items so i can log in under them and take it but really this was just a distraction all they did was have me remove items from trade and they canceled it as im spam clicking got one shot by an ags for t bow and max pvm gear. You did the right thing. You can trade the wrong person like in the video you showed but that can actually be what they want you to think while being just another layer of the lure. You can also get lured outside of the safe zone with a character animation stall (lookup "book animation stalling") In one his video, Solo Mission actually gets all his items out and trades one of the lurer. If that lurer was using the animation stall technique, he would actually have lost all his stuff.
Edit: Animation stalls are apparently fixed. Still you should always keep in mind that the lurers are 2 steps ahead of you and you never know when new bugs are going to appear. Also, lurers are never going to give you 30M just like that.

If you don't immediately leave, they know you're trying to anti-lure them because anyone who is actually clueless that they're being lured would see that message and take the hint. Not to mention there is almost always a guy in ahrims + dclaws sitting right outside of the bank in clear sight. Keeping someone moving is a tactic from the art of war and modern combat in general. I think the passage is something like if your enemy plants roots keep him moving and if he's moving keep him in place. A lot of their marks are bank standers and they seldom move from one spot. Additionally, it's harder to hit a moving target especially setting up an ambush. If you have to keep moving the ambush you keep reintroducing chances for someone to fuck up. These guys probably have a few different final destinations that have scout bots. I don't mean one per area if they were smart they would have most line of sight covered so they cannot be surprised by someone coming out of nowhere. With today's technology in bitting software its not too difficult. If wasting their time is enough of a prize then you can certainly win but you'll rarely squeeze a single gp from them. Remember they do this everyday, all day, and have made contingency after contingency. Most of the plans here is to alure you in with seemingly stupid scripts, introduce many 'holes' in the lure, and wait until you bite. They typically have some stupid game mechanic in a niche area that Jagex does know about and they will milk billions from it until they find something else.
Also, that guy in the pvp world WC guild is not uncommon. That's actually how I went from 85-99 WC. Cutting yews/magics in pvp world. D axe was lime 30k tops at the time.

    Title: The Luring Game
    Characters:
    - Eliop14 (Eliop)
    - Jojo3000 (Jojo)
    - Dischler (Dischler)
    - Socket (Socket)
    - Shower (Shower)
    - Max Ranger (Max)
    - Thibaut (Thibaut)
    - Sparkman (Sparkman)
    - Butters (Butters)
    - Random Player (RP)
    - Voorhes (Voorhes)
    - Emma (Emma)
    - Lurers (L1, L2, L3)
\[Scene: The virtual world of RuneScape. Eliop is gearing up, excited to take on new challenges.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) Treasure to Boss! Is it rude to desert treasure two bosses in a quest? I need the best gear possible. Time to return to the game and get ready!
\[The RuneScape community is bustling with activity, but there is a darker, more sinister side lurking in the shadows.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) Little did I know that this massive influx of activity would draw the attention of the Luring community.
\[Flashback to iconic players like Jojo3000 and Dischler, known for their luring tactics.\]
Eliop: (narrating) Jojo3000 and Dischler were legendary players. They would drop valuable items in the game, tricking players into picking them up and then luring them into dangerous situations.
\[As time passed, lurers became more sophisticated, employing techniques like Socket and Shower, who used specific scripts and talking tactics to deceive players.\]
Eliop: (narrating) The lurers' methods evolved. They convinced players to drop their items, promising quick riches, only to snatch them away before the victims could retrieve their belongings.
Eliop: (to the audience) Nowadays, people think they're too smart to fall for lures, but these lurers have become even smarter.
    \[The Desert Treasure update catches Eliop's attention.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) Ever since the new Desert Treasure update, I've noticed low-level accounts approaching players at the Grand Exchange, trying to engage them in conversation. The luring begins.
    \[Eliop encounters Max Ranger, a suspicious character.\]
Eliop: (confused) Is this guy in on it? He seems to be collaborating with the lurers. What's going on?
\[Eliop engages in a conversation with Max Ranger, who speaks in broken English and acts strangely.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) His broken English and odd behavior make me wonder if he's part of the luring scheme. But I decide to play along, just to see what happens.
Max: (typing in broken English) Hi, I am an American employee. I don't know English well. What is going on? Are these lures or something?
Eliop: (to the audience) It's almost like they want me to believe they're stupid.
\[Eliop follows Max's instructions, receiving a gilded armor set and a Ferocious Scepter, which acts as a teleport to the desert.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) They're hoping I'll fall for the armor set and teleport, thinking I can make some money out of it. But there's more to this lure.
\[Eliop watches further, and a message from a video sponsor interrupts the scene.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) An advertisement? Seriously? They're trying to distract me!
\[Max instructs Eliop to teleport to an undisclosed location, away from other players.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) They want to isolate me, so I can't be warned by other players. But I'm onto their tricks.
\[Eliop becomes suspicious of Max and wonders if he's part of the lure.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) Is Max in on it? He might be. I can't trust anyone.
\[Eliop devises a plan to gather his friends and counter-lure the lurers.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) I'll call my friends and gear up to confront the lurers. If they try to lure us, maybe we can turn the tables and defeat them.
\[Eliop's friends, including Voorhes, join him in the mission.\]
Voorhes: (to Eliop) We should be careful, Eliop. These lurers are crafty.
Eliop: (determined) I know, Voorhes. But we can't let them get away with this. Let's be prepared.
\[The group prepares for the confrontation, strategizing ways to counter the lurers' moves.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) We're ready to face them head-on. We won't let their tricks succeed.
\[The confrontation with the lurers begins, and chaos ensues.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) We're in the middle of it now. The lurers keep changing locationsand trying different tactics to deceive us. But we're not falling for their tricks.
\[The battle intensifies as Eliop and his friends fight against the lurers.\]
Voorhes: (shouting) Stay focused, everyone! Don't let them lure you into danger!
\[As the fight progresses, Eliop notices a pattern in the lurers' strategy.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) They're using distractions and misdirection to confuse us. We need to stay vigilant and watch out for their every move.
\[Sparkman, one of Eliop's friends, manages to catch L1, one of the lurers, off guard.\]
Sparkman: (grinning) Gotcha, L1! Your luring days are over!
\[The group manages to defeat the lurers one by one, exposing their deceptive tactics.\]
Eliop: (to the audience) We did it! We turned the tables on the lurers and put an end to their schemes.
\[After the battle, Eliop and his friends reflect on the importance of staying cautious in the virtual world.\]
Eliop: (to the group) We must remember that not everyone we encounter in the game has good intentions. We need to be wary and protect ourselves from lurers.
Voorhes: (nodding) Absolutely, Eliop. It's crucial to stay informed, report suspicious behavior, and educate others about luring tactics.
\[As the group disperses, Eliop receives a message from Emma, a fellow player.\]
Emma: (typing) I heard what you did, Eliop. Thank you for standing up against the lurers. We need more players like you.
Eliop: (typing) It's our duty to protect the community. Together, we can make the virtual world a safer place.
\[The screen fades out as Eliop continues his adventures, now more aware and vigilant against luring attempts.\]
    \[End of the episode.\]

i ended up getting lured for a twisted bow emptying my account from these lures. I was streaming myself when it happened. I didn't fall for their first 2 lures and they had a group of 4 people come back and follow me for about an hour when I was trying to do raids and they asked for my discord and offered to help me with the ToB. they got into discord with me and talked me into the lure again where they did the old trade and pull items out quick. when I started to pull the items out they declined and I clicked out of safe area and got koed by 3 people spamming freeze spell hidden under a stack of like 12 level 3s they left the discord and then I had a 30 min conversation cause I followed around the main ones who were trying to scam other in the g.e

What they do is ask you to put the robes up in a trade screen then say “remove them fast” when you go to trade back the robes they decline the trade and you click outside the bank running into the dangerous area. With the main logged under the lvl 3 ready to spec you out.

    • @Kasejeb
      @Kasejeb 10 месяцев назад

So you are clicking the robes to remove them fast from the trade screen, they decline and exit the trade while you are clicking fast and you then click into a dangerous area and get killed. They will sometimes do this in a discord call and have you share your screen so that they know that your screen is turned the right way to click into the wilderness.
