I had the same problem a while back with a 2005 srx, I peeked out from under the truck so I could follow the path of some wires going from the battery positive and realized the problem was a bunch of wires coming into contact and They shortcircuit because the insulating plastic had melted due to being very close to the tube that comes out of the engine that ends in the muffler, I insulate each cable and it works
If you put it in neutral it will start up, I have a 05 sts and my battery was bad ( but I changed the starter relay switch and alternator and it started up for a week before I knew it was the battery) now it’s either of those I think it’s the starter (because the battery, alternator, and starter are all connected) but your car needs an alternator for sure and most likely a battery
My 2007 STS won't start...it is doing the same thing, only when switch to accessories mode the information center tells me the car isn't in park 🤷🏿♂️ but it's in park🤦🏿♂️...I replaced the battery and alternator is only 2 years old...Any idea🤔

Hey there so I came across a cars with same issue but has code of fuel really or pressure and no start cranks but same issue as this video... what issue did this car have and how did you fix it
@@raymathews2203 your ECM is located underneath near the driver side wheel well. If you lay on your back next to your driver side wheel with your head town the front of the car you should be able to look up in there and see it. Square with 3 cables connected to it.

@@dustinredding4897 same issue. I think it's the shifter itself because it gets stuck in park. Could be a neutral safety switch also.

Mine does it a lot more now. I have to keep shifting into to park before it registers. Need linkage adjustment
