Any chance you can list the actual names of these apps in the video notes above? There appear to be many copy-cat apps working off of nearly the same name as what you mention in the video. Thanks.
What about logging on mobile? I have seen the likes of log4OM on PC. But if you work mainly portable /mobile you may not have a PC/laptop with you. Are there any good android logging apps?
I hook my HT up to zello and set it to scan... then I take my phone with me and listen to my scanner remotely. I know there are apps that already do this, but I want to monitor specific feeds.
When hams do DMR, they are not "ham radio operators". They are "internet operators". I realize that statement doesn't fit into this discussion, but I just felt like saying that.
What is the different between echolink and and any android app walkie talkie that u can talk global and local? There on those walkie talkie apps u can use talk anywhere too so what is the different
Best app is zello with NR8888 Sarah’s channel ( radio network ch 01 ). They have good chats on there with good humour but still keep a clean channel with no swearing.
I don't think so, cuz I don't think they would've uploaded these apps to the play store if you needed a license. Still, they can ask for the licence when you open the app but tbh I don't think so
If you have problem with native english speakers, there is an option, just Switching ON captions, it almost 99% correct, there is only one error, instead of 73 it indicated 74 :)

What SSTV app do you use? There are a bunch!
My list in no particular order. Echolink DroidPSK Robot36 AprsDroid Andflmsg SDRtouch(requires SDR dongle) Mobilinkd(requires Mobilinkd hardware)
I've tried Echolink on and off, but with all the repeaters it shows, it was hard to find one that people were actually using.

I'm not seeing some of these in google play store. Can you provide links to the apps?
@@w3jfo290 Some must just be iOS.

Not only doesn’t it fit, the statement is also wrong. DMR is a digital mode. Not all of it is internet linked.
DMR is a digital mode, not internet
Cracking video again, very informative 👍🏻
cheers mate!
Great presentation. Thanks
Which SSTV app are you using? There are a few and not all have great reviews and none that I've seen encode and decode!
Its just called SSTV
I use pocket tx rx web SDR also with it aprsdroid pskdroid and sstvdroid

The SSTV app looks pretty cool. I'll have to try that! Thanks for the tips! 73 de K2CJB
Interesting video, cheers
I'm now imagining people sending pics over PMR446.
I can't find SSTV app
Nice video! Where are the links to the apps please? 73 W3CTP
You showing your call letters on the QRZ made the black bar to sensor you other data useless. I know I am 3651mile aka 5876km away from you.

Mine looks nothing like that qrz app, I have the latest phone and searched on Play.... downloaded it today.....don't understand why...
Perhaps there is a difference if you're using Android ? It should be by QRZ LLC

Could you show URLs of applications you recommended.
Cannot find QRZ on the Apple App Store. Seems to have disappeared?
It’s there I downloaded it when I got this phone the other day
Just did a search. Mind you iOS upgraded overnight 😉 Will try again tonight. Cheers & Happy Christmas
Search qrz.com in the App Store mate it should show :) 73 and happy Xmas
doesn't work for amazon fire.
Where are the links?
Look in the stores! I can't do everything for you!
Do I have to have a license to use these apps ?
I don't think so, cuz I don't think they would've uploaded these apps to the play store if you needed a license. Still, they can ask for the licence when you open the app but tbh I don't think so
I dont need a license where i live so how can an app demand proof of something i dont need pretty silly if you ask me
Which app are you referring to and where do you live?
The qrz app i myself come from torrevieja
You need to get the app 'Manpussy', lots of hung Daddies on there looking for young chickens such as yourself.
Hahahaha! Merry Christmas, can't wait for your comments in the new year
Great info.... many thanks, 73
IS THERE AN APP TO LISTEN TO HAM RADIO
I am also looking for an app like that
Notification Squad
It would be nice if there were text on this instead of impossible to follow poor spoken English.
Clean your ears out then
