I’ve never seen a fan base be so in denial of why their extremely talented team keeps losing the last 5 years. They are the better team the whole game until the last half of the fourth quarter, because your best player either disappears or is a liability in the 4th quarter. It’s Simmons fault, Harden’s, Tobias, etc. but ignore the obvious common denominator. Your superstar player has to be clutch at the end of playoff games for you to win and this guy falls apart.
Completely agree with you but Clippers fans have been more in denial about their teams (Kawhi era and CP3 era) ever since the early 2010s.

First game was the day the knicks got OG, game 2 hali 1st game back from injury and on a strict mins restriction and game 3 Knicks were missing a ton of guys, OG Brunson and Donte

Respectfully disagree with the title and some of the takes (mostly online).
Maxey and Embiid both averaged 30. Maxey showed he fr and Embiid at 50-65 percent did better than what I expected. Ofc the discourse will be negative cause of the past playoffs, but just only evaluating this series he did good.
This series was a ECF type series. Knicks played great, all games were close. None of the brent brown/ doc rivers explosions with a championship level coach with nick nurse.
I think this is the "Start" not "the end" of the Maxey Embiid era, with a good coach and cap space (like mentioned in the video). You learn a lot about your team in close games, the pressure on the gm to make the moves to build around the two stars.

Everyone could see that when Embiid came back from the injury, he was not the same. They were all saying he should sit out. He is clearly handicapped, but the hate (self-warned at times) just creates nasty discourse. I don't see how realistically a guy as limited as Embiid could've done more this playoff run. Credit to the Knicks for being fierce defenders, never slowing up, playing as a team. Embiid’s shortcomings were so evident because of how well they played him. He’s a better passer than ever, but they play passing lanes and small lineups so it’s really tough to make the outlet pass. Great matchup, great series. The thing about the sixers and embiid is they need the exact right supporting cast, and the exact window of optimal health for the championship ceiling to be reached. I hope it happens, realistically it’s about next year, idk if embiid rolls out after that, or if we have to talk him down and hand the keys to maxey. Love what he’s done for the team and city whatever happens. Sixers legend forever.

As a knicks fan i would love to see Demar on the sixers. Gives them a great option for Joel to dump off to in the mid court if he's being doubled or off a screen. Plus with maxy doing maxy things off ball and setting the play/off the play and off the dribble/getting down hill. All good things on offense.

In terms of how wide the disparity between Embiid’s sheer ability as a player and his lack of career success, he’s going on a route Veerrryyyy similar to young Bron. The reasons why are the only differences; embiid deals with unlucky health conditions and that hurts his quality of, plus his ability to, play in the clutch, while LeBron struggled to make free throws and be aggressive in fourth quarters until that game 6 versus my big three Celtics. I hoped that embiid would fail being the face of the rival 76ers, like I once disliked LeBron. But now, watching the shit that embiid does on the court without the context of competing directly against me it’s so awesome. Should either go down as the greatest what if players or get at least one chip in Philly that he has a great run and fmvp. He needs help though. Playing playoff basketball with a supporting cast of ymca hoopers slightly explains the lack of accolades and achievements
