Help Save the Mainland Tammar Wallaby

The loss of a species is a tragedy. Zoos act as a last refuge for endangered species. The South Australian Mainland Tammar Wallaby project is remarkable because we have been able to do what every zoo dreams of - reintroduce an animal that was extinct in the wild back into its natural environment.
The cost of this project has been high, but the price of not acting would have been higher. Over $1 million has been spent already by Zoos SA, and our conservation partners, over more than a decade.
