Sadly the band can't keep up with how good Kami band was, you can see the downgrade when it comes to the drums and guitar expression. It's actually amazing how even in this heavily overwhelmed camera recording, Su voice sounds pretty good

You need your ears checked and probably an eye exam as well. The guitars play the parts they are supposed to play and I am certain that their “artistic expressions” are somewhat limited by the management’s instructions to “stay in their lanes” which would fit with traditional Japanese tendency to abide by strict and rigid structural guidelines. Downgrade? Not even close. Anthony is a graduate of the Berkeley School of Music in Boston, MA which produces artists of an extremely high caliber year after year. You may be referring to what you hear in videos of live shows which are recorded mostly on crappy cell phones and have the audio quality of a wet cardboard box, which added to RUclips’s poor audio processing and fidelity destruction make anything you hear that much farther from what the music actually sounded like. Additionally, as a professional audio engineer who happened to be at this show, I can tell you that the band will never sound as good as they can when not using their own PA and supporting equipment. This was a festival and their staff mixed with whatever the event had setup for the entirety of the show for all the artists. From where I was I noticed some audio issues I would have probably dealt with somewhat differently, but I wasn’t able to move around to listen to the band from various locations in the venue space to see if what I was hearing was a result of an engineer’s blunder or an artifact related to the deployment of the PA system itself. So, no this is not the Japanese Kami band, but these guys can hold their own with the originals if you were to have a playoff face to face contest, I promise you. The music on this last album also uses more and more digital backing tracks than any previous Babymetal music released to date which means less human played sounds and more recorded accompaniment parts than previously. Doesn’t really matter because everything in life progresses and changes from the moment it is born or started up to and thru its eventual ending. That’s life for you. Don’t dwell on the past. Embrace the change and enjoy it for what it is. If you are really stuck on the older music, build a playlist of that vintage BM music and set it to loop. Problem solved. You can thank me later at the next BM show.

@@ericchild8845 thanks for the technical breakdown. You present some good points and insights which I didn't know about.
