I have over a 1000 1980 pennies and about the same in 1981's. In a bank by themselves for 20 years now. Something told me to save all of those 80's from 1971 thru 1982's.
1959 thru 1970 in one bank and 1971 thru 1982 in another bank for over 20 years. Anything older then 1959 in a safe box. Been saving those coins since my parents did in the 70's.

This is FALSE information, the 1980 penny with no mint mark means it was minted in Philadelphia! It's no mystery, and it's not worth millions of dollars! The Philly mint never put the P on their penny, with one exception, 2017. The 2017 penny minted in Philly is the only penny with a "P" Mint Mark. A 1980 Penny is not worth 3 million dollars.
Maybe a missing D on an '82, but whos to tell one from a Philly which Has No Mint Mark. None of these are worth millions, not for having no mark bc those are just Philadelphia stamped. People do sometimes pay extraordinary amounts for extraordinary specimens, usually graded & highly. Possibly double stamped or something else, but these coins aren't rare at all

Honestly the thing is that people get so good at forging these things that first you're going to have to find a numismatic grading service and then you're going to have to find a coin show where dealers and collectors come to buy and sell. I would not try eBay because you aren't going to get anything for them. Some of them sell but very few of them do other ones they end up slashing prices as I've been watching them do it and nobody's going for with my thing because they can't actually see for themselves whether it's the genuine article or not
