Long time ago, there was a monk who lived on top of the crane mountain. He had achieved much in his life and even surpassed his own master, now he sits on a rock waiting for his time to come. After he had achieved victory he journeyed in search of a place of rest, to find peace, however he could not find it. In the lowest valleys, the lush forest, his childhood home, but still he was not at peace, so he ventured out in search of that very thing he desired. A long journey it was, he had defeated each adversary in his path with ease, like a wind through the leaves he breezed calmly through it all. One day he found a mountain and said to himself, "Here I will find peace" He climbed for two days and when he reached the top he built his house. Many years later he was meditating once again, yet he was not satisfied, so he decided to move somewhere else. While he was packing away his belongings, a bird perched on his window and he asked the bird, "You soar on wings, you have seen the world and you have no fear of what you will eat or drink, you rest peacefully in your nest, how did you obtain peace? . Cheerfully the bird chirped," Oh wise old man you are smarter than I, surely you should know by now?" The monk, not understanding what the bird meant, asked, "I have searched far and wide for true peace, but have not found it, how could that be?" The bird answered in a calm way, "Far and wide, across the world you have searched, yet you already have it, You have searched for it with your eyes, but not with your heart. True peace can be found even in the darkest caves of the mountains, but you must find it within yourself." The monk, now with a face glowing of joy finally understood why he struggled, Physically you can find a peaceful place to stay, but in the realm, which no eye can see, there you must discover the peace within oneself, once that is obtained, no matter where you go, even in the most dangerous of places, even there you can be at peace when you have a calm mind and a steady heart. From that day on the monk stayed on the mountain and rested, knowing that peace is not something you find, but something you have inside of you, you must just discover it for yourself. From that day on the mountain was called crane mountain because of the crane who taught a wise man that no matter how much you learn, there is much you do not know, which you can still learn even at an old age. Time truly is a teacher that never stops teaching it's students wisdom.

When I visited Japan, before the pandemic, it was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. Looking forward to go again as soon as I can.
Currently in Japan right now staying in a Ryokan, wearing a Yukata and Geta Sandals drinking Higiri tea after Onsen.
Do yourself a favor and visit for at least 2 weeks while you can. The experience is more than well worth it.
Japanese people are generally very encouraging for foreigners to experience their culture.

I don't usually comment on white noise videos but this one warrants a comment. This is the best white noise video I have ever used for studying. I have gone through my fair share of lofi music, classical music, tv-static-like white noise, rain sounds, waterfall sounds, and binaural beats, but this video is the only one that I have been able to tune out while it keeps me tuned in, if that makes sense. I forgot it was playing until I saw the RUclips tab open. I have bipolar, depression, and autism, all of which make my focus non-existent and make me feel super overwhelmed when I try to work. Here from China, this is a masterpiece, my dad uded to be a zen samurai part of a clan. He used to rope criminals to trees and torture them. This reminds me ever since the great korean war happend, china has been partly attacked by Korea due to the war, which is how my dad died. Hope to be a zen samurai and use his skills to see him back in heaven.
