It seems the toxicity has really exploded since it became free on game pass. A lot of very young players. I get the feeling they can't kill any enemies so they shoot random teammates in the back. I get shot in the back a ton lately. I blame COD.
The commander sitting in hq not doing anything while there's only one Gari up on the point and enemy arty have that pretty well zeroed in sums up mine.

I feel ya man. Played a game with some buds. We were a 5 stack but left the squad open. Defense in warfare and we were the only defensive squad dealing with counters. The random didn’t talk until he couldn’t use the op to attack the other objective. Started to whine and complain that we weren’t doing anything. (We had moved the op to hunt a garrison down. We’re actively talking about pinning down enemy ops, airheads, and garrisons. Even building up our own defensive point.) Man got really salty when we told him to leave out squad because we were playing defense so others could play offense. He thought he was important enough to make us no do defense.
Dude happens so often now. Was playing defense on southern edge with another squad. Fended off two lux’s. 3 waves of offense attacks where we pushed up and got rid of garry’s all while being bombarded with bombing runs and arty. All while the one rando offense guy complained that he didn’t have any help pushing the next point 🤦🏻♂️ I was like you’ll be attacking southern edge if we don’t stay here and defend it. You can call it like clock work in some matches if you watch the map. Blewbs will leave the defensive point in mass and immediately it will start capping for the opponent. It’s not a hard game concept. 😅
@@brettspearman3706 I’ve put over 70 days of playtime into HLL and there’s only been 2 times we’ve ever won a defensive push game mode on the very first point. Both times I was building up a point behind it that we never got to. But it’s like untouched art. Beautiful and perfect just like how you made it.
one thing to remember is that a lot of Squad and HLL newbies are migrating from CoD or Battlefield, so they aren't used to teamplay and manners when they're inside a milsim game.
I like having a lvl 12 player with maybe 4 hours of game play try to school a high lvl player on how the game works. A lot of that going on the last month.
Yep, some ppl are toxic. Once I told a guy: hey you are in white clothes, change it! - he shot me. I got into the supply truck to build nodes (not stealing it) the recon shot me without asking or telling they need it. There are shootouts every day at the start.
I was actively comming to some blueberries and got in a logi to drive them around (they asked me to) then when we arrived to the front we got out, assessed the situation, I decided I'd move the logi, soon as I got in a random capped me without comming anything. Maybe I should've reported them but I just respawned and started actually killing shit. Outfragged all their team that game by a long shot
I've had mixed experiences. Just recently I was playing with a couple guys that were brand new didn't know what they're doing. We spent the next couple hours laughing and having a great time even though we lost. You can also get other people that are just angry people to put it politely
New players. Team kills happen. Especially on wide open maps. If it happens once just move on, it was probably an accident. If it keeps happening, just report to the server admin and move on. Retaliation can lead to both you getting kicked from the server. Yes its frustrating but if they are actively team killing, people will talk and they will be kicked. Just keep playing your own game.

I played HLL from the start & was a kickstarter. I haven’t had a PC for a few years due to circumstances but I recently bought a PS5. I bought HLL & played it for about 20 mins. Just couldn’t get to grips with it on console. In fact I deleted the game. Unfortunately unlike steam you can’t get your money back.
Had that a lot too. New player just coming up and team killing me, then gets upset when I return the favour. If it’s by accident fair enough but these guys are just shooting you up close when you’re looking at the map etc
The thing that annoys me isn't so much the TK's but rather the penalty. There are two types of TK's, accidental and intentional. 9 times out of 10 it's very easy to determine which is which. Like a grenade throw is almost always non intentional. Getting shot in a thick mix of close range fighting usually unintentional. Then there's a guy right behind you, just the two of you or maybe three and direct hit. Or a guy who one shots you wounded, you give him the benefit of the doubt, bandage and he does it again.... Anyway, my point is I don't punish unless I know it's intentional but every time I've done it, it's accidental and I apologize there's always the punishment. Toxic AF this game.

I had a guy run across my line of fire point blank just as a shot and he ended up getting pinged in the head. He came and found me afterwards and apologised for running in front of me. I was gobsmacked.

The most recent wave of new players are most definitely a toxic bunch. My favorite role is the spotter on a recon team and.. there have been several occasions where I’ll be driving other players to the line, waiting for the countdown timer, etc, when.. just a random low level comes up to the driver sides and blasts my helmet into oblivion. Unfortunately for the player who does this, I have a toxic response and the rest of the match is me vs this individual until he either quits (usually what ends up happening) or I get kicked. Get what you give because I’ll go blind playing eye for an eye before I let a player just act a fool lol.
As a new player at level 25. I try my best to listen to my teammates and follow experienced peoples commands. I have been killed a lot due to friendly fire, but shit happens, so we move .
This happened to me a week ago. Two guys ran in front of my MG while I was spraying and they died. Both of them came back and started to kill me randomly. Then our squad lost a member and one of the guys joined and spawned at OP to kill me. The whole squad was voting to kick this guy and bitching him out over mic. He started to kill all of us so I ended up killing him once more and I got kicked and banned for an hour.. insane.
That kind of "retaliation" teamkill will get you permanently banned from some servers. I once had someone get banned because i got the truck stuck (on the same map, ironically) and they just shot me in the head. No excuse for stupid, toxic behavior. Apologize every time and it's forgiven and forgotten. But when you manifest some douche bag energy, you deserve to get banned from every server you bring it to.

Getting so many immature players from gay pass has made this game go from a diamond in the rough to servers filled with team killing, no commanders or officers and countless that don’t use mic’s. The ones that do have mics normally are racist, blast loud music or become so deep in the game that they are screaming at other players for not knowing what to do. TEAM 17 and black matter give us server search and admins with buyable servers. Let’s cut out the toxic trash that’s cod players!!!!

I started playing 2 weeks before Gamepass, and I can attest to a jarring shift that took place in the tone of games virtually the moment it HLL went on game pass. Just seems like every server has a 50% chance of being flooded with douche bags lol.

I was on a server the other day with a group of enemies who were very clearly hacking. My squad and I were commenting that we had never seen it so bad before. I make a discussion post on steam talking about what had happened, just to have other players troll me in the comments saying I was somehow whining and just angry about loosing?! New players for yeah.

I was on a server the other day with a group of enemies who were very clearly hacking. My squad and I were commenting that we had never seen it so bad before.

@@AlpineSniper The part where you didn't even apologize for it and proceeded to mumble an excuse. Also name tags don't show up if you manually turn them off (which is why you shouldn't if you have trouble identifying uniforms), hope this helps!
