David Lynch was in Paris in November 2012 for the event "Paris PHOTO" in the Grand Palais.
In this conference he talks about his own experience as a filmmaker and photograph, his inspirations and his choice of very favorite 99 photos picked from all the galleries.
In this extract he explain why he has decided to be a painter.

Haha, the second I explored Bacon's artworks I knew that Lynch is 100% a fan.

"Francis Bacon is a stupid painter"
Knowing that Lynch defended Polanski, that comment about Nabokov getting a thrill because of a young girl (lolita), it's safe to say Lynch is, at best, confused or, at worst, a creep.
Nabakov was 100% NOT a diddler, and any accusation of such should be viewed with the utmost disdain.
Lolita is about obsession and an intelligent but unreliable and manipulative narrator and very clearly did NOT reflect his own affinities. He even said that if a movie was made about the book then an adult should play the role of the titular character.
