Knowing that Lynch defended Polanski, that comment about Nabokov getting a thrill because of a young girl (lolita), it's safe to say Lynch is, at best, confused or, at worst, a creep.
Nabakov was 100% NOT a diddler, and any accusation of such should be viewed with the utmost disdain. Lolita is about obsession and an intelligent but unreliable and manipulative narrator and very clearly did NOT reflect his own affinities. He even said that if a movie was made about the book then an adult should play the role of the titular character.
