I was just about to ask why you use silicone and not epoxy and then you said it. ❤

My pieces are still intact so haven't had to do any repairs, but in watching you remove silicone, I began to wonder if you used a heat gun, would it soften the silicone making it easier to remove? I'm learning much from you. Thanks for sharing.

I am using 100% silicone. If you look at the description for the video I have listed the supplies used.
