- The Galaxy S10 is Samsungs latest flagship. And its time to take it apart. See what your phone looks like with a dbrand skin: dbrand.com/bees Thanks to dbrand for sponsoring this video. Taking apart the Galaxy s10 is pretty similar to years past... EXCEPT that this time around not everything is repairable. Samsung has made the charging port permanent on the S10. So if you ever need to replace that port (to charge your phone, or access your data) it wont be possible without advanced soldering techniques.
Of course Samsung has added the wireless charging pad so the S10 as a redundant charging system. But having permanent components makes the whole phone less repairable. Which is kind of annoying. What do you think? Should manufactures have to make their devices more fixable?
The fingerprint scanner of the Galaxy S10 might be off center. Or it could just be a combination of the rectangle adding a bit of room for the ribbon cable connector on the side. Watch the video to find out.

6:10 the "mud" in the heatpipe is metal powder , it is used to further improve the capillary action provided by the copper wick in the the Heatpipe, making the pipe more effective.

@@vyktrii he's been tearing down galaxy phones for a while, the past galaxy phones have batteries which have a "no dog" sign on it ,it was a joke that continued with galaxy phones' batteries until the S10 finally freed the dog

Most important feature of any cell phone is the ability for you to rip it apart and entertain us. 🍿
And equally important for the charging port, microphone, and headphone jack to be replaceable.
No such luck on the S10... at 3:05 I don't think Samsung made the charging port non-replaceable for the sake of making it non-replaceable, but as a cost saving measure. By the way it's still replaceable with the right equipment (microscope, hot air station, etc.) Luckily it's got wireless charging built in. ;)
Dbrand and Jerry's love story is still better than that of Twilight......

Does your S8 get a System UI not responding issue when you tap on your Bluetooth device from the drop down UI? Mine does and so does my sister S9. It's really annoying 😑

Lol. I have an original Google pixel, and a Pixel 2 XL. The pixel 2 XL is definitely better, and less worn, but even after having it for 3 months my original pixel is still my daily driver. It has all my data from all my apps, and I'm just more comfortable using it rather than the big phone. Although the batter is getting worn out fast, so I'm going to have to switch to my 2 xl

Theoretically, the ultrasonic finger print scanner would work again if you set up a mew finger print after cracking it. I'd love to see someone try it

Zack actually tried it already, but failed (The phone kept saying that fingerprint sensor is dirty and wouldn't set-up again). He replied about it in one of the comment earlier.
The ultrasonic fingerprint reader would have worked if you had re-registered your fingerprints. It just has to recalibrate to the new groves in screen.

For the non-regular watchers Samsung batteries usually had an indicator on the batteries about not letting pets (represented by a dog icon) be around the battery. It was strangely absent on the S10 battery
