i went to the comments right away to set it off, but I love how everyone is NOT tearing him down but building my man up. Thank you for posting this. I'm a big dude and was reluctant to grab my board again but this is truly inspirational. Reminds me of a good friend.
@@HumPugfeel blessed you have that, don’t speak on the entire skate community because there are definitely gatekeepers in the community that talk shit on your tricks and try to tear you down every way they can. No bullshit, some real fuck holes out there!
@TheCrim5onGho5t stop been a professional victim & looking for a cause. I suggest you first look up the word least, apply & then context. Now what your gana wana do is apply the word least to the conttext he was speaking on. If thats still too hard then I would certainly reccomend keeping your mouth shut & appearing stupid, then opening it and removing all doubt. Cool? Cool!

I fell in love skateboarding in the mid-90s and you folks know once you fall in love your hooked for life. I admire anyone who who has guts to commit to a trick and lay it all out there like y dude here. Today at 44 years old I still find time for myself to skate around being married, having a son and full time job because it's my identity and really enjoy still being able to do it physically but just not at the level of a youngster full of pop and energy. In my prime I was really pushing myself looking up to Shorty's, Girl, and Mad Circle. Shot out to all those Bay Area skaters from the past who really put "hubba hideout and pier 7" the map!!! Peace to Gershon Mosley, Caswell Berry, Jose Rojo, Louie Barletta, Poncho Mohler all from San Jose CA...
What ever happened to Gershon? One of my favorites back in the day. Ran into him in San Diego back in 97 randomly and he was the nicest guy. Powerful skateboarder as well. Mucho pop!
You are inspirational, brother. I, at 44, still skate, but I skate with fear, insecurity, and sometimes I get discouraged to continue because of my knee and ankle pains. But by watching this video, I have been filled with more confidence because you have inspired me to not give up. There are no limits to skateboarding, thank you so much for the inspiration and for the video, keep it up brother. Greetings from El Salvador.
The roll away when you stick that is going to be INCREDIBLE BRO!!! If it hasn't scared you away yet that means it's inevitable that you make it your b!%@# you got it man. Can't wait to see the vindication arc!!! ✌️♥️🤟
I love this guy. Something so relaxing and soothing watching this absolute stud of a man shredding and laying it down. Keep it up Joey, you’re killin it. I’m a big guy too but you have way more balls than me!
This is what I like to see everyone in the comments supporting him and not hating for no reason like you see in so many other comment sections so thank you to Joey and everyone supporting him this is what the world needs!!
why even mention it then, no ones hating because theres nothing to hate on it takes guts to do anything on a skateboard let alone step up to something of this size doesn't matter what trick it is like he said theres consequences. You wouldn't see me trying to do anything on that.
@@JoryBarrett why you worried about what I’m saying?? Mind your business lmao what was their to much positivity in the comments for you so u had to find someone to try arguing with lmao 🤦♂️🤣
Good shit bro this is inspirational seeing you at your size not letting it stop you from doing what you love such ann inspiration to everyone!! Keep up the good work brother!
Those bails got me dying. Reminds me of our friend who was bigger and had the funniest bails. It’s like your slams are harder than they should be going that speed. I know that’s how mass + speed works but it just looks funny going slow and then getting blown up
Think if you get your body over the board vs not trying to land in the same position that you are sliding down, you can stick it. It's like you are leaning backwards when you land. Lean forward and stay over the board.
Good to see you out there skating! I just bought a new board and set up too! Getting back out there for the first time since 2007! 30yrs old now, but fk it! I was in the Best shape of my life when I skated and I'm trying to get back to that! You're a motivation!
I'm 42 and just started learning to skate. Watching Joey pretty much eliminates all my excuses to stop. This dude wins by default even when he's failing.
Fairfield skatepark? I remember skating that bowl 15 years ago. One of my favorite skateparks. Love that bowl. Don’t remember that fence around the park though
Honestly legendary dawg youll get it Cant wait for round 3 The recap at the end you were sending that day dawg! No wonderyou got some animosity for that ledge The mental barrier will only make the success better Your getting after it gets me all stoked wanting to skate now
I feel the same in bowls. I have crunchy ankles also, i noticed if i sit and really do stretch and rotational exercises on them they actually feel great
U got heart. Dont let nobody tell u no or it cant be done brotha. Skated 20 yrs and u faced that fear. Love all around including them homies cheering (that shit matters)
Just got the recommendation. Never watched you before. Great attitude and I love when I see Big Dudes getting things done. I'm 43 now and can't skate anymore because my discs are compressed and rubbing so much pain I can barely walk. But love your attitude and dedication. Another subscriber here.
Last I weighed myself, I was around 440 pounds. Regarding my bushings, I just ride the stock bushings that come with Ventures. They're already pretty stiff, which is perfect for me.
You used to be down but not anymore, I would love to watch you do that bro. You know how inspiring that would be to DO MANY PEOPLE SO MANY SKATERS BRO. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
Awesome video, you are inspiring me to get back on my board. Also where is the skatepark at the beginning of the vid located please and thank you??? That small bowl you were skating looks perfect to start learning how to skate bowls, since I've always just skated street for the most part in middle school and highschool. I'm 32 now and getting my life together, trying to leave clean and serene, skateboarding is such a great feeling. I feel free sometimes on my board. I'm am from North Hollywood, Ca so hopefully I can find this skatepark 😂
Takes a certain kind of mentality to keep skating, and take slams but keep coming back for more. Real skaters give respect to anyone who puts themselves through it, no matter who it is.
Hi, Joey! Keep it up! I am 42 years old, from Russia. It's because of you I decided returns to the skateboarding! You inspire many people!

Why would someone tear him down. Hes kicking butt.
Brother the entire skate community is one of the least toxic most wholesome communities I’ve been a part of…. God forbid we see a scooter though

I was surprised to see the fence, too. It's been a couple of years since I was last here.
