▷ About Paul:
Paul Rodriguez, also known as “P-Rod” was recognized as a prodigy at the young age of 14, only two years after he started skating. His consistency, effortless style and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his home town of Northridge, CA to the City Streets around the world as a part of the legendary City Stars team. His passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout part in Logic 6 in 2000, Street Cinema in 2001 and landed him Rookie of the Year in 2002 for his part in Tranworld’s video production “In Bloom.” He turned pro later that year.
Paul bought his first skateboard at the age of 12. When he’s not skateboarding, Paul enjoys studying the lives of influential individuals, including his favorites such as Alexander the Great and Bruce Lee.
Paul currently lives in Los Angeles.
Seeing Muska just rolling through the park was all I needed. I remember when we all skated through manhattan with Muska, and he tail slid the banks rail. I’m 44 now and remember it like it was yesterday. I think it was circa 2000. Best dude ever.

I was at the banks that day too. I was skating the classic muska red and white board and the Osiris sneakers with the secret pouch. I was a big muska fan lol. I couldn’t believe it when I saw him. He was shredding the banks rail. 39 now and that’s a day I’ll never forget

@@sterlHAsilva 😂 …🤦♂️ Not at all! Quite the opposite in fact. I worked at SDS and all of his circa runs were really popular over here in Australia eg the CM901 & CM902 would fly off the shelves . The CM802 were harder to come by. But It was the limited runs of his e’s that were the hardest to track down.

Muska is so iconic to the skate world and it's dope to see him so stoked on skating. That skated and tagged Muska board is PRICELESS!
The realest gnar skater there ever was. Muska and Penny just did it for the love of it. Skaters are good nowdays but they do it for the wrong reasons. Muska is a true skater in it's purest form, and he has a big heart.

My favorite thing about Chad is how much he hasn't changed. That energy and love for life is the same as when I met=t him in Pacific Beach close to 30 years ago. So frigging inspiring!!!
I went to the infamous pacific Beach apartment he was living at and at the time he was blowing up. We shake hands and dude absolutely didn't need to tell ANYONE who he was, but he SO humbly said my name is Chad and it was just different from all the pros I already new. He was soooo genuine to me. I've never forgotten that moment because genuinely good people don't grow on trees....SALUTE ❤️🛹

@@dsrree he is definitely recovering from a severe one, but I guess the original poster was considering that he was on his road to recovery and still able to float around the park and make it look good and fun and super comfy on a board. he looks natural

I feel like the skateboard community is so special and it is such a small circle. It was truly a very special time in history. One of a kind era. If you were lucky to grow up in this time you truly were a part of history. Now these guys are getting older its important to have these reunions and to keep in touch. Truly special humans.

I'll be 36 in a month, and to be truthful, I haven't skateboarded since I was in college. Earlier this year, I purchased a Fulfill the Dream VHS poster in mint condition off eBay and framed it. I sleep in front of it now.

Paul throwing Jeff under the bus and trying to hurt his career was super corny. Skaters should be supporting skaters. You talk trash about his style then praise others with similar "style" example Ginwoo. I ran into the whole Shortys crew around 98-99 in Tokyo. I think there’s even a Shortys ad with a photo taken that day.
Muska was wearing some crazy looking silver Nike basketball shoes. I remember him specifically because he was so nice and engaging compared to the rest of the crew. I was just a little shit teenage kid fanning out but he took the time to talk which meant a lot. Shoutout to the Muska!

Muska was one of my child hood inspirations too.. time flies.. Muska still rips.. Paul one of the greatest.. I remember watching some ancient bones brigade shit and all that Paul was in.. he was a child still then.. shits crazy.. both these dudes are legends..
