Ha! I just picked up a Nikon D1x just to have a go with it. What a beast! Makes the D100 look like a Point and shoot 😄 These old cameras still take great images at low ISO.
The Fuji S2 is built on the 100 body platform but with Fuji CCD’s. Different color rendition. However it uses MORE batteries to power it. The Fuji version is a battery pig with 2 types of batteries needed. The D100 is still a good starter DSLR. The later D90 model had a lot of improvements over the D100.
D100 has a plastic feel (like the N/F80). For the same price, get the more solid D200 (10MP CCD). Or the D80 (10MP CCD) which is also plastic, but uses SD instead of CF (can never tell if there are bent pins).
Got one of these for free a few years ago from a friend who upgraded. Found it the other day and got a battery charger. I have no photography experience so I'm excited to try a new hobby! This video is invaluable thanks!
Thanks. Could you please check the rubber eyepiece part number for me? Should be on the bottom of it. Mine came without it and I am looking to buy original part. And is it magnifying ?

Definitely yes. The old CCD sensors have held up really well.
O melhor vídeo produzido para se usar uma Nikin D100. Great!
Thank you!

Yeah, CF card ports are a problem often. My local camera shop won't even buy cameras with a CF card reader.

Thank you and I wish I could. I sold this camera quite a while ago and can't check on the parts anymore. The standard eyepiece is not magnifying.
