My mom had this and had to have her esophagus taken out and her stomach made to be her new esophagus and had to have her ribs broke to do the surgery. She has been living 9 years since. She is very sick though and has been every since. Praying for all ppl with cancer!
I've just been diagnosed pre cervical cancer cells, I've just had two biopsies in my endoscopy. I'm scared because I'm at high risk of developing cancer.
I am a little scared because due to lifestyle ... aka smoking and drinking. I am afraid it may kill me because I have a lot of recent stomach issues, my doctor keeps giving me antacids but it isn't working. Now a few days ago, my ears felt a ringing and I keep having to swallow and it hurts... and I have been getting stomach upsets and puking often. I want to go talk to the doctor.... I feel really ill.
Really push to get tested for this cancer, my brother kept getting sent home after medical appointments with excuses of acid reflux and other things, by the time he actually got the right test he was at stage 4, too late now, he's in hospice care dying. Please save yourself, fight for you health.
Have you been tested for Heliobacter. This bacteria can cause stomach ulcers if left untreated with antibiotics. There is a simple breath test that a gastro-enterologist (GI doctor)can give you that will tell if you have it. Heliobacter ca definitely give you tummy aches.
I have constant progressive dysphagia from past 15 days,...i had some gi problem...I think I have the cancer..the dysphagia problem is increasing day by day... can't think of it.. literally crying...
I wonder if I can ask my dr for an endoscope. This will be out of the blue they may try to prescribe meds and such before they do further testing and imaging studies. I Just need to know.

Some folks decline that surgery for just that reason. Personally I would choose quality over quantity. Blessings to you and your mom.
